Culture is made up of man's creations in their daily lives and result in the idiosyncrasy of a pe... more Culture is made up of man's creations in their daily lives and result in the idiosyncrasy of a people, their cultural identity. The intent of this research was to generate a theoretical model for the preservation of cultural identity in the context of the Bolivarian education Barinas state, we used qualitative research hermeneutic phenomenological approach as a technique for collecting information in-depth interview. In the treatment of used the categorization findings, structuring and theorizing that represent the speech of the informants and the generation of theory, the findings show that the reflections which highlight cultural identity, which are given by inherited symbolic social constructions time, but without forgetting that in those spaces of time and to the emergence and expansion of social movements, new ones are constructed or altered and that is where these schools is essential to preserve them. At present this identity has yielded to the incorporation of foreign cultures is also evident in education, which is sometimes characterized as being divorced from all reality and historical context, the findings highlight that the school continues the cultural hegemonization.
