It also investigates the areas of ICT adoption along the value chain in studies using these constructs. Design/methodology/approach Systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted, where 910 studies were retrieved manually in five academic databases. Forty-eight studies were finalised after four filtration levels. Findings Majority of the studies were published within the past six years, and 85.42% were studies in the form of journal papers. UTAUT constructs more researched compared to UTAUT2 constructs. More than half of the studies investigated ICT application in value chain boundaries, while 16 studies were organisation-wide studies. Research paper thumbnail of Agricultural Technology Adoption as a Journey: Proposing the Technology Adoption Journey Map

International Journal of Technology

Agricultural technology plays a critical role in increasing productivity and modernizing the indu... more Agricultural technology plays a critical role in increasing productivity and modernizing the industry. Recognizing the importance of agriculture, governments devote significant public funds to research and development and creating an ecosystem for developing agricultural technology. While investing in new agricultural technology is important, it is also necessary to pay attention to technology adoption. For the technology to be sustainable, mass adoption is needed. This study proposes the technology adoption journey map (TAJM) to plan and study the farmers' technology adoption based on the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory and the Customer Journey Map (CJM). The TAJM should reflect the five stages of the technology process, with further elaboration on the key touchpoints of the CJM adoption experience. The adopter's expectations and actions, as well as the actions of key stakeholders, are documented at each touchpoint. Because each adoption journey is different, the expected failures and recovery actions are recorded for each touchpoint. To facilitate the mass adoption of technology, this study suggests documenting the experiences of innovators and early adopters of the technology as a guide in building the technology adoption journey map of the early majority.

Therefore, governments and researchers alike have concentrated their effort in pursue of increasing entrepreneurial activities within the community. Despite such efforts, entrepreneurship research is still evolving at its infancy stage. For entrepreneurship to happen, opportunity recognition must first happen. In an effort to take better sense of the factors shaping the entrepreneurial opportunity recognition, this study aims to examine the potential effect of entrepreneurial alertness, prior knowledge and social network on opportunity recognition and ultimately reaping the rewards of superior business performance. The goal of this study is to propose a model of the opportunity recognition model. Careful examination of past literature and theories produced several research hypotheses.

Clear differentiation between the two concepts are vital to our understanding of the entrepreneurial opportunity recognition process. How does certain knowledge of information transform to be an idea or a feasible opportunity? The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships of technology knowledge and opportunity recognition process of small firms technology firms in Malaysia. The study seeks to explore the gaps in our current knowledge on the opportunity recognition process for ideas and for exploitation of opportunities. This paper employs quantitative research design involving self-reporting questionnaires. Founders and co-founders of technology companies (n=255) are surveyed as respondents and data collected are analyzed using PLS-SEM technique. Findings have shown that technology knowledge affect the entrepreneur’s ability to recognize opportunity. Technology knowledge influences directly providing ideas for further exploration. From a more practical standpoint, the use of ideation programs in entrepreneurial initiatives needs to be clear on the outcomes of the program and to further supplement with the right support for full exploitation of opportunities. The clear delineation of the opportunity construct within the entrepreneurship studies enables progress to be made in building a clearer opportunity recognition framework. The empirical results are also supporting the presence of entrepreneurial alertness as the mediator in the model. This relationship not been explored and empirically proven previously.

In China and many other nations, universities have introduced compulsory remote education programs such as mobile learning (m-learning) to prevent public health hazards caused by the pandemic. However, so far, there is still a lack of understanding of student’s learning experience responses in compulsory m-learning programs. As such, there is a necessity to explore the factors and mechanisms which drives students’ experience. This paper evaluates the influence of both pedagogy and technology on learner’s compulsory m-learning experience response (ER) by extending the mobile technology acceptance model (MTAM) during the COVID-19 pandemic. An online self-administered questionnaire was used to collect the data, which was then analysed through SmartPLS 3.2.9. Importance-performance matrix analysis was applied as a post-hoc procedure to gauge the importance and performance of the exogenous constructs. The results revealed that perceptions of m-learning’s learning content quality, user interface, and system’s connectivity affect the perceived mobile usefulness and easiness which in turn affects ER. This paper validates MTAM in the field of education by integrating MTAM with pedagogy and technology attributes under a social emergency setting such as the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the current research explains users' ER rather than behaviour intention which is commonly adopted in past studies.
