sciences and engineering fields. It became evident quickly that sufficient evidence exists documenting
the gender disparities in the Sciences, Engineering, Technologies, and Mathematics (STEM). Essential
at this time is the generation of remedies to encourage and promote women as they pursue careers in
the hard sciences and engineering fields. The economies of Canada and the US urgently need competent
scientists and engineers across domains of business, higher education, and for innovation in the creation
of new technologies. The article explains how stereotype threats and biases remain prevalent barriers
to both men and women in the sciences and engineering. The author proposes adoption of the growth
mindset, the reinforcement of leader identify for engineers, and she recommends urgency on mentoring
and coaching approaches to strengthen retention of women in the fulfillment of careers in science and
engineering.

They shared their respective biomedical practices, academic research, clinical and personal experiences regarding innovative approaches in various areas of medicine. Conference attendees included three hundred healthcare professionals, academics, and researchers in Traditional and Alternative Medicine (TAM), herein referred to as TAM community. The purpose of this paper is to review leadership development in the context of global leadership and make recommendations for the healthcare professionals in TAM to further their growth as leaders. Leadership development calls for a very different way of thinking and learning; leading requires a mindset that evolves during one’s career and includes an integration of the unique influences of the professional’s area of practice. Environmental influences on the professionals of TAM relate to global leadership and the relevant business and regulatory imperatives of their medical practice

As a goal-oriented process, with evidenced based research, executive coaching helps develop leaders quicker by engaging them in a conversational model. An effective executive coach designs the coaching sessions to model interactive skills, to transition through personal and organizational change, and to strengthen relationships within an organization. Although costly for organizations the clients acquire valuable competencies to guide others through change.

The number of women leaders in Canadian corporations continues to increase, while the influence of women engineer leaders is less progressive. Growth in the fields of engineering leadership education, management education, and leadership education offered sufficient evidence to pursue research that furthered the leadership development of women engineers. In university engineering education inclusion of leadership education improved, while attention to leadership development for practicing professional women engineers remains sparse. The participants assessed their leadership practices and a correlational analysis will associate their leadership to levels of education programs, executive coaching, years of professional practices, and location of practice in terms of rural or urban. I conclude with a proposed conceptual framework for learning leadership.
