In the introduction, the meaning of developed and developing countries is explained, alongside an overview of environmental pollution and degradation. The main body of the work focuses on analysing the critical role of developed countries in causing environmental pollution and degradation. This includes examining factors such as industrialization, urbanization, transport emissions and natural calamities that have led to the environmental pollution and degradation. Subsequently, the contributions of developing countries are explored, considering factors such as overpopulation, deforestation, extraction of natural resources, inadequate waste management, and agriculture activities that have also resulted in pollution and degradation. Drawing from the analysis, this work concludes by emphasizing the need for both developed and developing countries to adopt measures to address environmental pollution and degradation. Additionally, recommendations are provided to guide these countries towards making significant strides in tackling these issues. The recommendations focus on strategies that encompass changes in policies, technology adoption, and international cooperation. Overall, this work aims to raise awareness and provide insights into the actions required to mitigate environmental pollution and degradation on a global scale CAUSES OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION AND DEGRADATION

Through a critical review of existing literature and case studies, this study demonstrates how gender analysis provides a nuanced understanding of how social norms, cultural values, and power dynamics shape the experiences and outcomes of individuals and groups across these sectors. The findings suggest that gender analysis helps to identify how gender-based inequalities are perpetuated or challenged in the context of cultural and economic development, highlighting the need for tailored interventions that address the intersecting needs of individuals and communities. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of the gender analysis knowledge to policy makers in formulating and implementing inclusive policies in these sectors.
