Despite identification of maternal and pregnancy-specific risk factors for development of pregnancy-associated venous thromboembolism, limited data are available to inform on optimal approaches for prevention. The relatively low overall prevalence of pregnancyassociated venous thromboembolism has prompted debate about the validity of recommendations, which are mainly based on expert opinion, and have resulted in an increased use of pharmacological thromboprophylaxis in pregnancy and postpartum.

Under this context, new methodologies are being addressed in order to measure how important this neuronal capacity is in the process of full recovery of learning in subjects who suffered damage from cerebral ischemia.

However, treatment options can be impaired by the development of antiretroviral drug resistance. Resistant virus strains can be transmitted to new hosts and, subsequently, can lead to antiretroviral treatment failure.

In addition to serious ethical problems, this practice hinders the generation of original material. In order to reduce the problem, softwares such as eTBLAST are being used to detect plagiarism and repeated papers. Despite the persistence of fraudsters, these tools have helped to reduce these problems; however, the ideal solution would be the basic ethical establishment principles. Therefore , plagiarism has always been a foible that could lead to fraudulent and dishonorable development of science.

The development of this powerful tool can bring to the actual world some benefits to improve the way of taking care of mental illnesses.

The pathogenesis is still obscure and the diagnosis is based on patient history and clinical examination. A handful of factors have been proposed to be associated with ALS; however, the only established risk factors to date are older age, male sex, and a family history of ALS. The familial cases have their historical importance in causative gene identification since through these discoveries much has been uncovered about ALS pathogenesis. The understanding of clinical and epidemiological factors associated with functional impairment is of fundamental for early adoption of measures to promote a better survival and a better quality of life. Rapid diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neurological disorders is vital if future treatments are to be applied at an early disease stage. The current pace of discovery and identification of novel disease mechanisms in ALS is unprecedented. Advances in this area, however, have also introduced challenges in the heterogeneity of diagnostic definitions affecting this patient population.

With more than 3000 deaths since the first case was confirmed in March 2014, the international community has recognized Ebola as a public health emergency of international concern and a clear threat to global health security. The complexity of dealing with this Ebola outbreak has highlighted the need for traditional actors, such as WHO and the CDC, to embrace the wider health and humanitarian community. The epidemic reinforces the need for nations to investment in health infrastructure and disease surveillance to keep pace with other developments in Africa. If Ebola arrives in high-income and middle-income nations, it should be contained quickly. The crisis shows the importance of sufficient levels of multilateral funding for WHO. The world needs a strong WHO, with the financing and political influence to fulfil its historic mission.

Methods:A systematic review of 01.01.2006 to 31.12.2013 was held by VHL (Virtual Health Library). The search was performed with the descriptors ''toxoplasmosis " and " diagnosis. The selected articles were indexed in MEDLINE. The information pertinent to the study was selected, categorized and analyzed. Of the 186 articles found, 41 met the eligibility criteria. Results: Laboratory tests are based on the presence of antibodies IgM and IgG anti-Toxoplasma gondii, in this sense it is important to correctly interpret serology, because the detection of specific antibo-dies is often delayed by the presence of maternal IgG or late production of specific antibodies in newborns. Molecular techniques (PCR) have emerged as alternative due to its higher sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing instruments, given the ability to detect parasite DNA and non-dependence of the immune response of the patient, such as serological tests. Conclusions: The need for early treatment of congenital toxoplas-mosis in order to avoid sequelae justifies the search for more sensitive and specific laboratory tests in early detection of the parasite. The integration among the different levels of care in the public health system is essential for obtaining effective control of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women.

Taking this in consideration, the present study was based in the following research question: which practical contribution the actual scientific literature about childhood depression has to offer to clinicians and researchers? The aim of the present study was to evaluate the actual evidence concerning the different aspects (etiology/risk factors, diagnosis , treatment, prognostic and prevention) of childhood depression, with the purpose to systematize such evidences and to contribute with the knowledge about the problem. In way to reach this aim, it was performed a systematic review of articles about childhood depression , in the period from January first of 2010 to January 16 of 2014, in the databases PubMED, MEDLINE and SciELO. In the research, the following terms were used: " depression " (MeSH), " child " (MeSH) and " childhood depression " (Keyword). Of the 860 found studies, 76 met the eligibility criteria. The found studies covered a wide variety of aspects related to childhood depression, as diagnosis, treatment, prevention and prognostic. The actual scientific literature about the childhood depression converges to, directly or not, highlight the negative impacts of the depression disorders to the life quality of the children. Unfortunately, the found studies show that the childhood depression is a disorder that develops most commonly in a poverty and vulnerability scenery, where the individual and familiar necessities concerning the childhood depression are not always taken in consideration. In this context, this review demonstrates that the depression started in

For children living in northeast Brazil, extreme social conditions constitute, an environment of special vulnerability. Objective: Here we show that bipolar disorder incidence, between children and adolescents in this Brazilian region increased 34.2% from 2005 to 2014 and, in, the same area and age group, deaths provoked by self-caused injuries also became progressively, greater. Results: According to DATASUS, the Brazilian national databank for public health, information, in the last five years, we observed an increase of Bipolar Disorder incidence rates under, 19 year-old of about 34.2% in the northeast region of Brazil, while the increase for Brazilian general, population was 12.4%. If considered only patients under 10, this number is even greater, of 47.2%. Content of Table 2 shows this disproportion, while comparing the advance of bipolar disorder, morbidity indices nationwide and worldwide. Conclusion: Children living in Brazil's northeast, region are in a condition of extreme social disadvantage, what can be determinant for the recent and, sequential increase of bipolar disorder prevalence and the mortality in this age-group due to suicide, one of possible reflections of untreated mood disorders. For protecting these children is important to, identify the factors which prevent these illnesses and promote resilience for these young people.
