For systems represented by Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs), the conventional PINN has a continuous time input variable and outputs the solution of the corresponding ODE. In their original form, PINNs do not allow control inputs neither can they simulate for long-range intervals without serious degradation in their predictions. In this context, this work presents a new framework called Physics-Informed Neural Nets-based Control (PINC), which proposes a novel PINN-based architecture that is amenable to control problems and able to simulate for longer-range time horizons that are not fixed beforehand. First, the network is augmented with new inputs to account for the initial state of the system and the control action. Then, the response over the complete time horizon is spli...

However, to address both aspects is a prolific approach when designing or describing a MAS organization. The problem is to define them in a way they can be both assembled in a single coherent specification. The MOISE model – described here through a soccer team example – intends to be a step in this direction since the organization is seen under three points of view: structural, functional, and deontic.

The reorganization process is expressed as a four phases process: monitoring (when to reorganize), design (ways of building a new organization), selection (how to choose an organization), and implementation (how to change the current running organization). The proposed reorganization scheme is evaluated in the robot soccer domain.

Part of them, for reasons of performance and development easiness, were built according to some particular language/protocol, making difficult or hindering the communication of its agents with others developed with different languages and protocols. Despite the increasing effort in the definition of standards for agent communication protocols and languages, the heterogeneity in MAS is a fact that is there to stay. This paper reports experiences of turning an MAS tool, Saci, interoperable. The solution is based on a CORBA bridge that enabled agents written in CORBA-mapped languages to communicate with other native Saci agents, without changing its architecture or programming style.

The team was implemented in a logic-based language for BDI agents and was run in a Java-based interpreter that makes it easy for legacy code to be invoked from within the agents' practical reasoning. Even though the implementation was not completely finished in time, the team won the competition, and the experience also allowed us to improve various aspects of the interpreter.

The latter half of the 20th century, however, saw dramatic changes in democracy around the world in its spread, variation in form, and in the use of the word. In fact, there have been a number of books in recent years that have discussed a wide array of models or degrees of democracy (Held, 1996; Sartori, 1987). Phrases such as participatory democracy, managed democracy, strong democracy (Barber, 1984), and semidirect democracy (Toffler…

However, so far there has been no work on developing multiagent systems (MAS) where agents implemented and deployed in different agent-programming platforms can interact as part of the same MAS with a shared environment. Due to the generality of CARTAGO environments and its Java-based implementation, we have successfully implemented an open multi-agent system where heterogeneous agents developed with different platforms-namely Jason, 2APL as BDI-based approaches and simpA as an activityoriented approach rather than BDI-based-work together in shared workspaces where they interact and cooperate by dynamically creating and using shared artifacts, analogously to human working environments. This paper shows how this was achieved by first presenting a general model for incorporating a theory of use and observation of artifacts in cognitive agents, then describing a general approach for developing such heterogeneous MAS using CARTAGO integrated with existing agent-oriented programming platforms.
