Therefore, this study tried to peek into the people movements and seeks to understand how people are handling their daily use items like fruits and vegetables, how people are managing unavoidable grooming services, how people are disinfecting themselves after coming from outside, and what all hygienic practices they are following during this pandemic. Furthermore, this study attempts to explore ways through which people are disinfecting their houses. At last, the study seeks to explore the knowledge/information people have about Coronavirus. The study collected primary data through a self-administered questionnaire. A quota sampling technique was used to collect the data. Bivariate analysis was carried out to reach the study findings. Based on the findings, it is the need of the hour to disseminate the information on the use of unhealthy disinfectants as they lack the knowledge about the safe use of various types of cleaners and disinfectants. It is also reiterated that there is an urgency to promote further information on risk factors of Coronavirus among people and compulsion to promote healthy hand hygiene and sanitation practices. There is a need to promote information through mass media and other modes of awareness, such as artwork and announcements.

Corona viruses are a large family of viruses that can cause diseases ranging from the common cold... more Corona viruses are a large family of viruses that can cause diseases ranging from the common cold to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). A typical presentation of MERS-COV disease is fever, cough and shortness of breath. Pneumonia is a common finding, but not always present. Gastrointestinal symptoms, including diarrhoea, have also been reported. Severe illness can cause respiratory failure that requires mechanical ventilation and support in an intensive care unit. The virus appears to cause more severe disease in older people, people with weakened immune systems, and those with chronic diseases such as renal disease, cancer, chronic lung disease, and diabetes. No vaccine or specific treatment is currently available to prevent. The only way to prevent from COVID-19 is to have proper knowledge and awareness. So, accessing knowledge and awareness among people is very important. In this paper a study have been carried out to access the knowledge, awareness and practices about COV...

The expressions for mean square errors of the proposed estimators have been derived up to first order of approximation. At one hand, among the proposed estimators, some of the estimators under optimum conditions are more efficient than the usual estimator. y C  On the other hand some proposed estimators under optimum conditions are less efficient than the existing estimators. Further an empirical study has been carried out to support the theoretical results and for that we have considered two natural population data sets.

The expression of mean square error of the proposed estimator is obtained up to the first order of approximation. We have derived the conditions for the parameters under which the proposed estimator performs better compared to the usual estimator and other existing estimators. An empirical study and simulation study are also carried out with the support of theoretical results.

The expressions for mean square errors of the proposed classes of estimators are derived to the first order of approximation. It is shown that the adapted version of Solanki and Singh (2013), exponential class of estimator, is always more efficient than usual estimator, ratio, product, exponential ratio and exponential product type estimators and equal efficient to simple difference estimator. Moreover, the adapted version of Sharma and Singh (2015) estimator are always more efficient than all the estimators available in literature. In addition, theoretical findings are supported by an empirical study to show the superiority of the constructed estimators over others with earthquake data of turkey.

This paper suggest some improved class of estimators of population variance using auxiliary information in form of attribute of the study variable Y based on arithmetic mean, geometric mean and harmonic mean of the usual unbiased estimator, usual ratio estimators and estimators due to Singh and Kumar (2011) in case of simple random sampling. The expressions of bias and MSEs have been derived up to the first order of approximation. It has been shown that the performance of the proposed estimators is better than the usual unbiased estimator, usual ratio estimators and estimators due to Singh and Kumar (2011). In addition, an empirical study is carried out in the support of theoretical results.

We have suggested two-parameter ratio-product-ratio estimator in two different situations and their properties are studied under large sample approximation. We have presented comparisons of the proposed two-parameter ratio-product-ratio estimator with usual unbiased estimator * y and ratio estimators (1 R t , 2 R t). An empirical study is carried out in support of the present study.

Aim: To assess the elder abuse and its association with socio-demographic factors among elderly population. Materials and Methods: This study comprises data from BKPAI 2011. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square test and binary logistic regression analysis have been used for the following study. Results: A total of 9852 elderly people were included in this study which was carried out in seven states of India. The mean age of the study subjects was 68.04 ± 7.29 years. Among 9852 elderly people 10% (987) were faced elder abuse. In unadjusted odd-ratio the status of elder abuse was found statistically significant with state, type of residence, sex, age group, caste, education, marital status, migration status, occupation, health condition and economic dependency etc. But in binary logistic regression analysis state, type of residence, sex, education, caste and their migration status were found statistically significant with elder abuse. Conclusion: From the result of this study, the existence of "violence", "neglect", and "disrespect" within the society and community is approved. The problems of abuse among older persons were more mental than physical and elderly at getting older, without partner, with bad health condition, having less money or with no security are on more risk of getting abused.

Traditionally probability is considered as a function that takes values in the interval [0, 1]. However, researchers found that negative, probabilities could be a useful tool in different areas, especially, in theoretical physics and financial mathematics. Thus, construction of sound and rigorous mathematical foundations for negative probability is important for physics and finance. There are different axiomatizations of conventional probability, and it is natural that negative probability also has different axiomatic frameworks. In the previous publications (Burgin, 2009; 2010), negative probability was mathematically formalized and rigorously interpreted in the context of extended probability. In this work, axiomatic system that synthesizes conventional probability and negative probability is constructed in the form of combined probability. Both theoretical...

Introduction In the theory of sample surveys, the utilization of auxiliary information is frequen... more Introduction In the theory of sample surveys, the utilization of auxiliary information is frequently acknowledged to the higher accuracy of the estimation of population characteristics. Ratio, regression and product methods of estimation are good example of it. There exists many situations when the information is available in the form of attribute which is highly correlated with y. In literature of sampling survey many authors have suggested estimator based on auxiliary information. However in many situations of practical importance, instead of an auxiliary variable x there exists an attribute (say  ) which is highly correlated with study variable y. In these situations by taking the advantage of point bi-serial correlation between the study variable y and the auxiliary attribute  , the efficient estimator
