Tercatat sebanyak 8.963 perhelatan diselenggarakan di Yogyakarta sejak tahun 2012. Salah satu perhelatan tersebut adalah Ngayogjazz. Sejak pertama kali diadakan, Ngayogjazz selalu berupaya mengubah pandangan bahwa musik jazz di Indonesia adalah musik mewah, yang hanya dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat ekonomi menengah ke atas saja. Sejak tahun 2007 hingga saat ini, pengunjung yang datang ke Ngayogjazz selalu meningkat dan tidak hanya warga Yogyakarta saja. It can be conclude that the role of Bandung culture and tourism department to improve MICE tourism is sufficient in accordance with the policies published by local regulations, both in terms of the promotion, development of inter-regional approaches and strategies of approach.

Sejak pertama kali diadakan, Ngayogjazz selalu berupaya mengubah pandangan bahwa musik jazz di Indonesia adalah musik mewah, yang hanya dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat ekonomi menengah ke atas saja. Sejak tahun 2007 hingga saat ini, pengunjung yang datang ke Ngayogjazz selalu meningkat dan tidak hanya warga Yogyakarta saja. Selain itu pihak panitia Ngayogjazz juga menjadikan semua kalangan sebagai target calon pengunjung. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran yang digunakan Ngayogjazz, secara khusus pada tahun 2015. Role of government agencies that culture and tourism department is necessary because the government is an agencies that issued certain policies in developing and prosperous nation. Techniquesz of data analysis were used to analyze the problem is descriptive qualitative, by describing the studied conditions with systemically and through this method to analyze the object in the form of description and explanation. It can be conclude that the role of Bandung culture and tourism department to improve MICE tourism is sufficient in accordance with the policies published by local regulations, both in terms of the promotion, development of inter-regional approaches and strategies of approach.
