Nowadays, that videogames are an Art, a cultural production and conjunction of several Art forms,... more Nowadays, that videogames are an Art, a cultural production and conjunction of several Art forms, is just considered fact by many authors. But, what I try to achieve through this article, which is directly linked to my research project (my doctoral thesis and the publications that will follow it), is that we could, and we should take that relationship more seriously at the time of analysing them, and also, when we face the task of creating a new videogame project from scratch. Videogames should have more publications related to them that can go deeper than mere commercial analysis we would make about any kind of product. We can find studies related to videogames, and also publications about them, but our society still lacks the capacity of studying them as we would, for example, study other Art disciplines, such as Sculpture, Architecture, Drawing… Our programs use to limit videogames to Design or Computer Engineering careers. These studies are mostly aimed at private faculties or enterprises mostly, but they have not yet been integrated into their own Videogame studies at their own, or public degrees at all. What I am trying to achieve with my research work, is to develop new forms of research, and methodologies for studying and analysing videogames, by taking a close look at their key relationships with another forms of art, and the technologies that made these relationships available, as well as their improvements and influences coming from other Art disciplines over the years. As this is a work in progress, what I will explain in this article, is what I have achieved to date. The aim of my research work is to expand my thesis, and, through the years, to write different publications related to these issues.

Este es un proyecto de innovación docente surgido con la intención de aprovechar la relación exis... more Este es un proyecto de innovación docente surgido con la intención de aprovechar la relación existente entre la Escultura y el Dibujo como disciplinas artísticas, y que va en connivencia con la propia naturaleza del Diseño como disciplina que combina el trabajo y estudio de diversas enseñanzas técnicas y disciplinas artísticas y culturales.
La idea, por parte del autor, es ayudar al alumnado a mejorar sus capacidades a la hora de entender el espacio y el volumen en el dibujo, aprovechando su formación y experiencia en Bellas Artes. Se incorporarán ciertos cambios al programa de la asignatura para incorporar de forma más exhaustiva conocimientos sobre el espacio, el volumen y la iluminación.
El Dibujo Comparte con la escultura la capacidad de transformar una idea en algo tangible, y aquellos que mejoran en dibujo, también lo hacen en escultura y viceversa. Esta capacidad, puede beneficiar al alumnado de diseño, tal cual lo hacen en estudios superiores de arte.

espanolLa idea de este trabajo de investigacion es la de elaborar una metodologia para el analisi... more espanolLa idea de este trabajo de investigacion es la de elaborar una metodologia para el analisis de los videojuegos desde el punto de vista del campo de las artes en general, y de las artes graficas en particular. Lo que espero conseguir en este trabajo es, mediante la investigacion de los videojuegos mas relevantes, crear un metodo que sustituya al actual a la hora del analisis y estudio de los mismos, y que ayude a la hora de realizar futuras producciones. Esta investigacion pretende poner en valor las aportaciones de los artistas a la hora de desarrollar los videojuegos, ya que dicha participacion no siempre ha sido preferente en la produccion y creacion de videojuegos. Al contrario, en los medios se trata al videojuego como un producto mas (se utilizan metodologias de marketing, y tambien estrategias que simplemente analizan aspectos tecnicos, relacion calidad/precio, etc., que, pese a ser necesarias, acaban dejando de lado elementos tambien importantes.
