ABSTRACT The crises and conflicts - political, religious, ethnic - that have beset Indonesia from... more ABSTRACT The crises and conflicts - political, religious, ethnic - that have beset Indonesia from 1998 resulted in an escalation of violence against women, to which Indonesian women have responded by forming alliances for peace. The following articles and extracts document alliances among Indonesian women of different cultural backgrounds. They also document their strategies and actions for peace in Indonesia and justice for all Indonesian women.
