Shearing enlarges and accelerates heat dissipation from the sheep's body, giving antioxidants that help reduce the negative effects of
excessive free radical production. Ascorbic acid is an antioxidant but is easily decomposed when it enters the digestive system of
ruminants. Ascorbyl palmitate (AP) is ascorbic acid in the form of an ester which is insoluble in water. The aim of this study was to
analyze the effect of shearing and administration of AP antioxidants on oxidative stress conditions in Padjadjaran sheep subjected to heat
shock. The shaving treatment consisted of not shaving (s0) and shearing (s1),and the treatment of giving the antioxidant ascorbyl
palmitate consisted of not being given (a0) and being given (a1). Sheep were subjected to shearing, their hair was trimmed until ± 10 mm
in length was left, and sheep as object of study were treated with ascorbyl palmitate at a dose of 400 mg head-1 day-1. The combination
treatment was not shaved – not given the antioxidant ascorbyl palmitate (s0a0), only shaved (s1a0), only given the antioxidant ascorbyl
palmitate (s0a1), and sheared – given the antioxidant ascorbyl palmitate (s1a1). Heat shock is given by exposing the sheep to the sun.
The oxidative stress observed and analyzed was the profile of endogenous antioxidants consisting of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase
(CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and malondialdehyde (MDA). The results showed that the combination of shearing and Ascorbyl
Palmitate had a significant effect (p<0.05) on the levels of SOD, CAT and GSH-Px in Padjadjaran sheep receiving heat stress. The
conclusion from this study, the shearing treatment and the administration of Ascorbyl palmitate, both independently and in combination,
had a beneficial effect on Padjadjaran sheep.

Shallots are a favorite vegetable crop because they are widely used in daily cooking spices. The ... more Shallots are a favorite vegetable crop because they are widely used in daily cooking spices. The cultivation of this plant is constrained by the attack of plant pest organisms like Spodoptera exigua. S. exigua causes damage by causing scallions to become hollow and see-through. Alternative control of S. exigua attack is by using clove essential oil. The study was conducted in West Bandung, West Java from June to August 2021. This study used a Randomized Block Design with 5 treatments and 5 replications, namely: Control (without essential oil), clove essential oil concentration of 2.5%, clove essential oil concentration of 5%, clove essential oil concentration of 7%, and clove essential oil of 9% concentration. The results showed that clove essential oil (Syzygium aromaticum) with a concentration of 9% was the most influential treatment for the highest mortality and the lowest intensity of pest attack.

Coffee skin's waste has not been utilized optimally, causing the stench and fluid that pollute th... more Coffee skin's waste has not been utilized optimally, causing the stench and fluid that pollute the environment. One effort to overcome these problems is by utilizing the waste of coffee skin to compost. Therefore, the provision of coffee skin's waste compost is expected to increase the growth and yield of edamame soybean. This research was conducted in Kp. PasirVillage Cinta karya Samarang District Garut Regency. Conducted in October-December 2016. Using factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors. The first factor, particle size of 2 levels are (a1) coarse particle size of coffee compost (> 74 μ) and (a2) fine particle size of coffee compost (< 74 μ). The second factor, dosage consisting of 4 levels 5 t ha-1 (t1) or 20 g plant-1 , 10 t ha-1 (t2) or 40 g plant-1 , 15 t ha-1 (t3) or 60 g Plant-1 , 20 t ha-1 (t4) or 80 g plant-1 to obtain 8 combinations of treatment level and repeated 4 times. Treatment (a2) fine particle size of coffee compost (< 74 μ) and dosage of (t4) 20 t ha-1 or 80 g plant-1 had an effect on the height parameters of the plant at 7-21 HST with the highest yield average 13.72 cm, 22.48 cm and 34.58 cm, particle size treatment and coffee skin's compost dosage influenced independently that is plant height at 28 days after plant, the shoot root ratio, the number of seeds per crop, the number of pod per crop and pod weight. Coffee leather waste compost can be used as organic fertilizer for soybean plants. Compost size <75 μ can be done to facilitate nutrient absorption for plants.

Recently swallow guano rarely used as fertilizer, even though it have ability to protect plants from diseases. The purpose of this study was to study the ability of guano swallow as both fertilizer and the ability corn from downy mildew disease (Peronosclerospora maydis) and in increasing the growth of semi-corn plants. The experiment was carried out in the greenhouse of the Experimental Garden Padjajaran University, Ciparanje Jatinangor, Sumedang West Java on May 2019 to July 2019; the experimental design using Randomized Block Design (RBD), there are 9 treatments and 3 replications, namely: planting media (soil) without guano and without Peronosclerospora maydis infected (g0i0); soil with 8.5 t ha-1 guano without Peronosclerospora maydis infected (g1i0); soil with 9 t ha-1 guano without Peronosclerospora maydis infected (g2i0); soil with 9.5 t ha-1 guano without Peronosclerospora maydis infected soil (g3i0); soil without guano added Peronosclerospora maydis (g0i1); soil with 8.5 t ha-1 guano with Peronosclerospora maydis infected (g1i1); soil with 9 t ha-1 guano with Peronosclerospora maydis infected (g2i1); and soil with 9.5 t ha-1 guano with Peronosclerospora maydis infected (g3i1). The conclusion that swallow guano with a dose of 9 t ha-1 is an effective dose to increase yield of baby corn.

This research aimed was to determine the growth and yield of endive plant (Cichorium endivia L.) ... more This research aimed was to determine the growth and yield of endive plant (Cichorium endivia L.) due to the application of zeolite in various sizes and urea fertilizers in various doses. The treatments are zeolite size <0,25 mm, 0,26-0,50 mm, 0,60-5,00 mm; and urea dose 2%, 4%, 6% of total compostl. The parameters of responses in this study are growth plant such as plant height (PH), chlorophyll content of leaf (CH), root length (RL); and yield of plant such as wet (WW) and dry weight (DW) of plant, shoot root ratio (SRR). The data analyzed by Anova, through DMRT in 5 % The results showed that the application of zeolite and urea fertilizer significantly affected the growth and yield of endive plants in parameters observed were plant height and dry weight of plant, with the best zeolite size is 0,26-0,50 mm and 2% urea dose of total compost. Smaller dose of urea (2 %) from compost combine to medium size of zeolite (0.26-0.5 mm), result better effect to growth and yield of endive.

This study aims to investigate the effect of shearing management and ascorbyl palmitate administration on physiological and hematological profiles in under heat load Padjadjaran sheep. The physiological profile involves respiration rate (RR), Pulse rate (PR), and rectal temperature (RT). Twenty rams Padjadjaran 1 – 1,5 year-old, weighing between 25 to 47.5 kg used from sheep breeding station Purwakarta, West Java - Indonesia. There are two treatments level in this research, (1). This study aims to determine the type of manure and its adequate dosage to increase the growth of bean plants. The research has been carried out in the experimental field of Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang-West Java with altitude 753 m above sea level (asl). The study used a factorial randomized block design. The first factor is the type of manure (k1 = cow manure, k2 = sheep manure, k3 = chicken manure, and k4 = rabbit manure) and the second factor is the dose (d1 = 10 t ha−1, d2 = 20 t ha−1, and d3 = 30 t ha−1). Guano kelelawar (GK) adalah kotoran kelelawar dari gua-gua yang menjdi habitat/ sarang kelelwar, ... more Guano kelelawar (GK) adalah kotoran kelelawar dari gua-gua yang menjdi habitat/ sarang kelelwar, dan populer digunakan sebagai pupuk organik sumber unsur P. Pupuk urea merupakan pupuk anorganik yang digunakan sebagai pupuk N. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman buncis (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) terhadap kombinasi pupuk guano kelelawar dengan urea. Penelitian dilaksanakan Desa. Ciaro, Kec. Nagreg, Kab Bandung. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan RAK. Percobaan terdiri dari 12 kombinasi yaitu: A = (6 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , B = (12 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , C = (18 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , D = (24 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , E = (6 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 , F = (12 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 , G = (18 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 ; H = (24 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 , I = (6 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , J = (12 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , K = (18 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , dan L = (24 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , tiap perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Uji lanjut menggunakan DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kombinasi guano kelelawar dengan urea berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah klorofil, umur berbunga, bobot segar polong per tanaman, dan bobot kering polong per tanaman Perlakuan L memberikan respon yang paling baik terhadap semua parameter.

Waste produced by fish such as food and metabolic waste (feces and urine) can use as fertilizer for plantsthe water which contains food and metabolic waste furthermore flowing to planting media and plant absorption the nutrient so the water quality can reuse for fish culture. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of planting media on the growth and yield of red lettuce plants in aquaponics. Design experiment use nested completely randomized design. The data analysis using ANOVA, and the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The experiment consists of 3 treatments and nine replications. Media planting are rice husk charcoal, zeolite, and cocopeat. The results showed that the rice husk charcoal and zeolite substrate significantly affects number of leaves, fresh weight, and dry weight compared to cocopeat media. The aim of this research was to find out the level of concentration of betle leaf extract as an hen’s egg soaker produce thes longest shelf life terms of haugh unit value, albumen index, and yolk index. This research used an experimental method with a Clompetely Randomized Design. There were five kinds treatments concentration level of betle leaf extract (P1=0%, P2=15%, P3=30%, P4=45%, P5=60%) with four replications. Duncan multiple range test were held to find the difference between any treatment in this research. The result of the research shows the use of betle leaf with the concentration level of 60% produce the longest shelf life 34 days in term haugh unit value, 32,75 days in terms of albumen index value and 34 days in term of yolk index value.

A fieldpolybag trial had been carried out at 750 m above sea level using a randomized block design two factors with factorial pattern and three replications. The first factor was the type of AMF (control, Glomus sp, Gigasporasp, Acaulospora sp. Glomus sp+ Gigasporasp+ Acaulosporasp). The second factor was the type rhizobacteria (control, Pseudomonas diminuta, Bacillus alvei). The results showed that AMF and rhizobacteria independently did not influenced soil bulk density, soil water content, and soil aggregate stability index. The parameters of responses in this study are growth plant such as plant height (PH), chlorophyll content of leaf (CH), root length (RL); and yield of plant such as wet (WW) and dry weight (DW) of plant, shoot root ratio (SRR). The data analyzed by Anova, through DMRT in 5 % The results showed that the application of zeolite and urea fertilizer significantly affected the growth and yield of endive plants in parameters observed were plant height and dry weight of plant, with the best zeolite size is 0,26-0,50 mm and 2% urea dose of total compost. Smaller dose of urea (2 %) from compost combine to medium size of zeolite (0.26-0.5 mm), result better effect to growth and yield of endive.

This study aims to determine the type of manure and its adequate dosage to increase the growth of bean plants. The research has been carried out in the experimental field of Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang-West Java with altitude 753 m above sea level (asl). The study used a factorial randomized block design. The first factor is the type of manure (k1 = cow manure, k2 = sheep manure, k3 = chicken manure, and k4 = rabbit manure) and the second factor is the dose (d1 = 10 t ha−1, d2 = 20 t ha−1, and d3 = 30 t ha−1). Pupuk urea merupakan pupuk anorganik yang digunakan sebagai pupuk N. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman buncis (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) terhadap kombinasi pupuk guano kelelawar dengan urea. Penelitian dilaksanakan Desa. Ciaro, Kec. Nagreg, Kab Bandung. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan RAK. Percobaan terdiri dari 12 kombinasi yaitu: A = (6 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , B = (12 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , C = (18 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , D = (24 t GK + 50 kg urea) ha-1 , E = (6 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 , F = (12 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 , G = (18 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 ; H = (24 t GK + 100 kg urea) ha-1 , I = (6 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , J = (12 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , K = (18 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , dan L = (24 t GK + 150 kg urea) ha-1 , tiap perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Uji lanjut menggunakan DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kombinasi guano kelelawar dengan urea berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah klorofil, umur berbunga, bobot segar polong per tanaman, dan bobot kering polong per tanaman Perlakuan L memberikan respon yang paling baik terhadap semua parameter.

Waste produced by fish such as food and metabolic waste (feces and urine) can use as fertilizer for plantsthe water which contains food and metabolic waste furthermore flowing to planting media and plant absorption the nutrient so the water quality can reuse for fish culture. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of planting media on the growth and yield of red lettuce plants in aquaponics. Design experiment use nested completely randomized design. The data analysis using ANOVA, and the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The experiment consists of 3 treatments and nine replications. Media planting are rice husk charcoal, zeolite, and cocopeat. The results showed that the rice husk charcoal and zeolite substrate significantly affects number of leaves, fresh weight, and dry weight compared to cocopeat media. The aim of this research was to find out the level of concentration of betle leaf extract as an hen’s egg soaker produce thes longest shelf life terms of haugh unit value, albumen index, and yolk index. This research used an experimental method with a Clompetely Randomized Design. There were five kinds treatments concentration level of betle leaf extract (P1=0%, P2=15%, P3=30%, P4=45%, P5=60%) with four replications. Duncan multiple range test were held to find the difference between any treatment in this research. The result of the research shows the use of betle leaf with the concentration level of 60% produce the longest shelf life 34 days in term haugh unit value, 32,75 days in terms of albumen index value and 34 days in term of yolk index value.

A fieldpolybag trial had been carried out at 750 m above sea level using a randomized block design two factors with factorial pattern and three replications. The first factor was the type of AMF (control, Glomus sp, Gigasporasp, Acaulospora sp. Glomus sp+ Gigasporasp+ Acaulosporasp). The second factor was the type rhizobacteria (control, Pseudomonas diminuta, Bacillus alvei).
