Aspects employed in the case of those persons who had left the sacred precinit and shed their pil... more Aspects employed in the case of those persons who had left the sacred precinit and shed their pilgrim's garb, thereby reaffirming a previously permissible act. In other instance, the Qur'an indicatttt that the act becomitt positive when the conditions attached immediately after it are fulfilled, such it in Su-rat XXIV:33 which tells us that the command to respond to a slave's petition for emancipation is conditioned by an agreement to which the slave must first fulfill. Still, the use of the .perative, albeit with a different quality of value, is shown, for example in Su-rat VI:142, where the subject of the command . actually related to "whatever God has provided for you as sustenance" and not to the act of "eating" itself. Turning to the negative quality, there are various words ranging from strong negative ternt like hara-m, nahy, lit yahtlhi, ijtanitni, and la-to more ambiguous signs of disapproval like "not to devour usury" or the phrase that there . "no good.".
