The aims of this research to know “the efectiveness starter experiment approach (SEA) toward high... more The aims of this research to know “the efectiveness starter experiment approach (SEA) toward high-order thinking skill of students.” This research is a Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. We used XI IPA as population. We used simple random sampling. We used pretest and posttest as instrument to gain/obtain our main data. T-test and Normalized-gain (N-gain) are used to analyze those data. We obtain score sig.(2-Tailed) = 0,041 < α = 0,05,the percentage increase in students in the high is 8%, moderate is 38%, and low is 54%, experiment class N-gain = 0,33 > control class N-gain = 0,20 These result show that experiment class has more effective than control class. It means starter experiment approach (SEA) proven to effective toward high-order thinking skill of students in physics.

This study are aimed to identificate student's mental models of Newton's Law of Motion and its fa... more This study are aimed to identificate student's mental models of Newton's Law of Motion and its factors that possed for X grade at State Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta. This study measured up by Newton II Law. This is a descriptive research. The population of this research are students of X grade at State Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta, 243 students. This sample selected 101 students by purposive sampling technique. This study used test and non-test methods. Two tier multiple choice diagnostic test used to find coceptual understanding (step I) and identificate the student's mental models (step II). The questionnaire used to identificate the factors that possed the student's mental models. In addition, interview holded for confirm the student's answers. The results found that students have three determined mental models. The students have Newtonian model with 18%, the most student used Hybrid model with 24%, Ariestotelian model with 11% and another model with 47%.. Student's mental models influenced by experiment with 10%, student even see the same case 6% and 30% is learning from physics book. There are 54% of student's mental models influenced by another factor, such as logical resoaning ang teacher's explanation.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning berbasis integras... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning berbasis integrasi-interkoneksi terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada materi Suhu dan Kalor. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan bentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA MAN Yogyakarta III. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji U, N-gain dan effect size. Hasil analisis data penelitian memperoleh nilai Zhitung = 3,178 > nilai Ztabel (α = 0,025) = 1,96 dan hasil effect size sebesar 0,852. Misconceptions on students need to be diagnosed and given a solution to improve learning, so that misunderstanding of the material can be corrected. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the constructivism approach with the 5E method to remedy misconceptions on sound wave material. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of students of class XI MIPA 2 in 1 Turi Senior High School. This study uses a two tier test instrument. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kontekstual dengan metod... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kontekstual dengan metode POE terhadap pencapaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada materi fluida statis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok pretes-postes. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik acak sederhana untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes berupa instrumen soal pretes dan postes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji t satu pihak berdasarkan nilai sig. serta normalized gain (N-gain). Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kontekstual dengan metode POE berpengaruh positif dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa daripada siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Siswa tunanetra memiliki keterbatasan dalam penglihatan sehingga mendapat hambatan dalam kegiatan... more Siswa tunanetra memiliki keterbatasan dalam penglihatan sehingga mendapat hambatan dalam kegiatan praktikum hukum Archimedes yang menuntut peran aktif visual. Penelitian ini bertujuan, 1) mengembangkan panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes untuk siswa MTs LB/A Yaketunis kelas VIII yakni dalam bentuk rekaman yang dilengkapi dengan teks Braille, 2) mengetahui kualitas dari panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R & D dengan model prosedural yang mengadaptasi dari pengembangan perangkat model 4-D, yakni Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli media dan ahli materi panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes masing-masing memiliki kualitas baik (B) dengan persentase 80% dari skor ideal, sedangkan menurut guru fisika MTs LB/A memiliki kualitas sangat baik (SB) dengan persentase 91,82% dari skor ideal. Ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes, siswa mampu melakukan praktikum hukum Archimedes secara utuh layaknya siswa awas.

Pengembangan dilakukan dengan mengacu pada model procedural Borg&Gall yang dibatasi sampai tahap revisi produk operasional. Objek coba dalam penelitian ini adalah 8 peserta didik SMAN 5 Yogyakarta pada uji lapangan skala kecil dan 30 peserta didik MAN Lab. UIN Yogyakarta pada uji lapangan skala besar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket penilaian LKPD oleh ahli materi, media, guru fisika, dan respon peserta didik. This research aims to design a quality of alophysics web as a source of independent learning for ... more This research aims to design a quality of alophysics web as a source of independent learning for Senior High School Class X based on expert judgment and student responses. The research belongs to Research and Development (R&D). This development is done using Plomp research model which includes 5 steps, namely (1) Prelimenary Investigation (2) Design (3) Realization/Construction (4) Evaluation and Revision (5) Implementation. These research instruments are validation sheet, Alophysics web quality assessment sheet, student response sheet. The quality of Alophysics web used 4 Likert scale and student response used Guttman scale, both are in checklist forms. The final result of this study is the web of Alophysics as a source of independent learning for Senior High School Class X on the subject of momentum and impulses. The quality of the web of Alophysics based on expert material assessment obtained a mean score of 3.2 with good category (B), media expert judgment obtained an average score of 2.9 with good category (B), and the physics teacher assessment obtained a mean score of 3.83 with the very good category (SB). At the implementation stage produces the responses of students agree (S) with a mean score of 1.00 in limited trials and 0.95 in broad trials.

Berpikir merupakan aktivitas mental untuk membantu memformulasikan atau memecahkan suatu masalah, membuat suatu keputusan, atau memenuhi hasrat keingintahuan. Penanaman kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah 1)untuk mengetahui profil pembelajaran fisika di Madrasah Aliyah se DIY, 2)untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Madrasah Aliyah se DIY. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 12 MA yang ada di DIY baik itu yang bertatus Negeri maupun Swasta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) semua MA masih menerapkan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (Teacher Center) meskipun sebagian besar Madrasah Aliyah Negeri sudah menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dan belum memfasilitasi siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya, 2)kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa MA masih pada kategori rendah. In this work has been studied aplication of geometric algebra in classical electrodynamics especially Maxwell’s equations. Maxwell’s equations was formulated in one compact equation ÑF=J. The various equation parts are easily identified by their grades.

Siswa tunanetra memiliki keterbatasan dalam penglihatan sehingga mendapat hambatan dalam kegiatan... more Siswa tunanetra memiliki keterbatasan dalam penglihatan sehingga mendapat hambatan dalam kegiatan praktikum hukum Archimedes yang menuntut peran aktif visual. Penelitian ini bertujuan, 1) mengembangkan panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes untuk siswa MTs LB/A Yaketunis kelas VIII yakni dalam bentuk rekaman yang dilengkapi dengan teks Braille, 2) mengetahui kualitas dari panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R & D dengan model prosedural yang mengadaptasi dari pengembangan perangkat model 4-D, yakni Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli media dan ahli materi panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes masing-masing memiliki kualitas baik (B) dengan persentase 80% dari skor ideal, sedangkan menurut guru fisika MTs LB/A memiliki kualitas sangat baik (SB) dengan persentase 91,82% dari skor ideal. Ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan panduan praktikum hukum Archimedes, siswa mampu melakukan praktikum hukum Archimedes secara utuh layaknya siswa awas.

Pengembangan dilakukan dengan mengacu pada model procedural Borg&Gall yang dibatasi sampai tahap revisi produk operasional. Objek coba dalam penelitian ini adalah 8 peserta didik SMAN 5 Yogyakarta pada uji lapangan skala kecil dan 30 peserta didik MAN Lab. UIN Yogyakarta pada uji lapangan skala besar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket penilaian LKPD oleh ahli materi, media, guru fisika, dan respon peserta didik. Tes tertulis dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik setelah menggunakan LKPD-MI hasil pengembangan. This research aims to design a quality of alophysics web as a source of independent learning for ... more This research aims to design a quality of alophysics web as a source of independent learning for Senior High School Class X based on expert judgment and student responses. The research belongs to Research and Development (R&D). This development is done using Plomp research model which includes 5 steps, namely (1) Prelimenary Investigation (2) Design (3) Realization/Construction (4) Evaluation and Revision (5) Implementation. These research instruments are validation sheet, Alophysics web quality assessment sheet, student response sheet. The quality of Alophysics web used 4 Likert scale and student response used Guttman scale, both are in checklist forms. The final result of this study is the web of Alophysics as a source of independent learning for Senior High School Class X on the subject of momentum and impulses. The quality of the web of Alophysics based on expert material assessment obtained a mean score of 3.2 with good category (B), media expert judgment obtained an average score of 2.9 with good category (B), and the physics teacher assessment obtained a mean score of 3.83 with the very good category (SB). At the implementation stage produces the responses of students agree (S) with a mean score of 1.00 in limited trials and 0.95 in broad trials.

Berpikir merupakan aktivitas mental untuk membantu memformulasikan atau memecahkan suatu masalah, membuat suatu keputusan, atau memenuhi hasrat keingintahuan. Penanaman kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah 1)untuk mengetahui profil pembelajaran fisika di Madrasah Aliyah se DIY, 2)untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Madrasah Aliyah se DIY. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 12 MA yang ada di DIY baik itu yang bertatus Negeri maupun Swasta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) semua MA masih menerapkan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (Teacher Center) meskipun sebagian besar Madrasah Aliyah Negeri sudah menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dan belum memfasilitasi siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya, 2)kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa MA masih pada kategori rendah.
