With an expanding base of dynamic customer demands and the adoption of multiple technological advancements, there is a high possibility that human-centric sales management will be transformed into a fully automated form aimed at increasing productivity and being able to cater to effectively a broader customer base. A review of the relevant literature demonstrates that machine learning is one of the most prevalent techniques in analytics for predicting sales behaviour. However, SESaaS includes many features beyond the sales component. Internet-of-Things (IoT) can additionally be used for networking and data analytics to enrich sales data. Therefore, the proposed scheme introduces a novel SESaaS model capable of balancing the sales team’s needs with those of the customers to maximise profits. The proposed model also presents a novel learning scheme in the I...

One of the most recent and interesting evolution in the wireless communications area is the trend toward the integration of multiple functions into a wireless device that can be used anywhere. One of the main components in the communication system is the microwave filter. The performance of the device is defined in terms of its transmission loss, circuit size and response selectivity. Dual-band filters are seen as the solution for circuit size reduction in a dual-channel communication system. This thesis presents the development of new dual-band filter topologies that offer simplicity of design with single circuitry structure and improving the response selectivity with general synthesis. The topologies for dual-band filters whose response can be controlled via their parameters would hel...

However, few studies are related to workload and its association with Malaysian emergency responders' mental health problems. Hence, the study objective is to identify the level of workload, determine the level of psychological well-being and their association with Malaysian firefighters. A cross-sectional study was conducted among Grade A and B stations firefighters in Kota Bharu Kelantan using a validated NASA-TLX and DASS-21 questionnaire through a purposive sampling method. Respondents were divided into standard operations teams and elite teams such as Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS). Results show that although EMRS, the medical team has the highest overall workload demand, firefighters deemed performance and effort demand a significant workload demand comparing to oth...

The purpose of the study is to achieve size reduction with acceptable performance for wireless communication system applications. Based on the array concept, the array antennas are arranged using corporate network technique. It is found that the simulated 4x3 patch array antenna achieved the compact size with dimension reduced up to 26% compared to 4x1 and 4x2 array patch antennas. In terms of return loss, the antenna attenuated more than 19 dB. The 4x3 patch array antenna is fabricated and measured using RO4350 microstrip substrate to validate the concept. The responses are found in good agreement between simulation and measurement.

Prior to this research work, circular cavity resonator was used to achieve a miniaturization for the overall circuit size. The proposed filter provides single resonant mode, TE110. The resonant frequency of TE110 can be adjusted by varying the length and width of the SIW cavity. The proposed filter are designed to operate at frequency 3.75 GHz and implemented on Rogers 3210 substrate with thickness of 0.64 mm. The insertion loss in operating band is less than 0.6 dB and the return loss is better than 24 dB. Simulated result obtained using Ansoft HFSS software.

Jurnal Teknologi, 2016

The statistical analysis for Terengganu, Malaysia seaside clutter is presented in this paper. The... more The statistical analysis for Terengganu, Malaysia seaside clutter is presented in this paper. The measured clutter data were collected using a prototype of forward scatter radar (FSR) micro-sensor network with very high frequency (VHF) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) bands. Four categories of clutter strength were recorded during the measurements, which are low, medium, strong and very strong clutter. The classes were divided according to the wind speed occurred during the measurements period. The analysis is to determine the best-fit distribution model for the measured clutter data. Four types of distribution models are used in this analysis, which are Weibull, Gamma, Log-Logistic and Log-Normal distribution. One of the goodness of fit (GOF) tests called root mean square error (RMSE) is used to prove which distribution is a better fit to the probability distribution of the measured clutter data. The obtained results show that for 64 MHz with all clutter level strength, Weibull distribution provides better fit and records the lowest RMSE. Weibull distribution also fits best to the clutter data for low clutter of 151 MHz. However, for the rest of clutter level strength for 151 MHz, Gamma distribution is the best-fitted model with lowest RMSE values. Log-Logistic distribution proves to be the best fitted model to all clutter level strength of clutter data for 434 MHz with smallest RMSE values.
