The paper critically analyses forms and structure of public discourse in Poland in the context of... more The paper critically analyses forms and structure of public discourse in Poland in the context of recent crises and uncertainty. By focusing on language, symbols and metaphors used by dominant media, the author draws attention to processes and trends emerging in contemporary cultural-political narratives in Poland in 2020–2022. The analysis invites for a broader and deeper study of strategies used by post-media delivering infotainment instead of objective information.

The Nordic countries, among them Sweden, were among the most popular destinations for refugees ov... more The Nordic countries, among them Sweden, were among the most popular destinations for refugees over the past decade. From the beginning of the so-called migration crisis, since 2015, Sweden received nearly 218,000 asylum applications.1 This number should be seen in the context of the entire Swedish population of some 10.2 million, 18.5% of which are former immigrants and their second and third generation descendants born already in Sweden.2 Contemporary Nordic societies, due to the migration processes, changed their ethnic compositions, becoming multicultural and multiethnic. Over the past 50 years the Nordic states and other non-state entities including NGOs co-shaping the social, economic, political and cultural order have been trying to develop integration policies aiming to include immigrants effectively into the mainstream society. Odradzająca się polityka rosyjskiego imperializmu, widoczna nie tylko w dyskursie teoretycznym, lecz także w praktycznym zastosowaniu założeń wpisanych w doktrynę odbudowy wpływów byłego ZSRR, zmusiła państwa nordyckie do zrewidowania założeń i rozwiązań dotyczących obronności regionu dalekiej północy (Finlandii, Szwecji, Norwegii, Danii, Islandii wraz z podległymi obszarami o wysokim stopniu autonomii: Wysp Alandzkich, Wysp Owczych i Grenlandii).The article discusses the security problem of the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) seen from the Nordic perspective. New geopolitical circumstances of Eastern Europe, changed after 2010, forced the Nordic states to reformulate their defense strategies. Modern digital era makes us ponder about the global impact of the new human-made nature on all, without exception, spheres of human existence, as well as on the live nature, involved in the informationally-digital stream of development. Social environment, natural for the formation of human culture, is changing, and the pros and cons of the digital era and consciousness virtualization are emerging. The
evolution of human culture and mankind under the influence of the created virtual-digital world makes the formation of human existence values and even the meaning of human existence challenging.
