Hey, is anyone else going to the Eastpak Antidote Tour on November 3rd at Manchester Academy 1? I've just bought a ticket and it looks as if I'll probably be going by myself!

What do people think about the current resurgence of guitar-centred bands such as The Kooks?Is this a good thing? Are the bands refreshing and dynamic or are they blase and dull?What are your thoughts?

Hi.I'll make the first post in this community. I really hope people use this community. It could be a great little online meeting place for (relatively) local musicians/music-lovers.If you decide to join maybe you could tell us a little about yourself? I'll start.I'm a guy who currently lives in Manchester. I grew up on the Wirral and lived in Liverpool for a while. I played piano for around 10 years before we had to sell it for financial reasons. I still deeply miss my piano and would still consider it my first music-love! These days I play guitar and bass as well as singing. I have a Fender Telecaster, a Washburn acoustic, some classical guitar, and a cheap Fender Bass.
