We’re delighted to share that we were shortlisted for the 'Partnership of the Year' and 'Building Better Futures' awards at The Prince’s Trust’s Partnership Awards this week. 🏆 This annual ceremony celebrates the power of extraordinary partnerships and our nominations recognise the impact that our business, team members and customers have made to help transform the lives of young people, regardless of their background. During the last five years, we’ve raised £3 million for The King's Trust and supported almost 700 young people with opportunities for employment through our ‘Get Into’ and ‘World of Work’ programmes. This year alone, 25 stores across the UK have provided placements, with many young people successfully securing positions as Customer Advisors over the Christmas period. We also delivered our first ‘Get Started in Empowerment’ event, which brought young people together from across our home county to join us at Nottingham Pride. Well done to all the team members across our stores, warehouses, customer support centre and support office who have supported our partnership. With your help, we’ve provided meaningful opportunities for young people to develop the skills, confidence, and self-esteem they need to live happy and healthy lives. 👏 - Join our team as a Phlebotomist and work on behalf of Our Future Health UK, a charity in partnership with the NHS and the UKs largest health research programme. Together, we are bringing people together to develop new ways to prevent, detect, and treat diseases. The programme will collect information from millions of volunteers across the UK, helping people live healthier lives for longer by transforming the prevention, detection, and treatment of conditions such as dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Building on from Black History Month, our Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage Business Resource Group hosted an inspiring Q&A session at our D90 office with Casyo Johnson, co-founder of Nala's Baby skincare.
