Roo’ve been served! In 2021 we launched ‘Roo’ve Been Served’ – a two-year mentorship programme partnering five uni students with senior members of our legal team. The aim was to create pathways for students with diverse talent, giving them access to companies like Deliveroo, while gaining legal experience and getting connected. The best things come in sustainable packages 💚📦 We’re always looking for new solutions to big challenges, so this year we challenged students from Sheffield Hallam University to design innovative, sustainable food packaging for the chance to have their design produced with leading manufacturer BioPak. Four impressive entries were featured in a public exhibition on campus and presented to popular Sheffield restaurants, including Slap and Pickle, alongside judges BioPak, the university, and Deliveroo. This initiative follows steps we’ve taken to support restaurants to transition to sustainable packaging, including a £2.5 million packaging fund that subsidises the cost of environmentally friendly packaging items from the Deliveroo packaging store.
