The community-powered circular fashion marketplace. Shop what you love. Sell your clothes. Do it all over.
About us
Depop is the community-powered circular fashion marketplace where anyone can buy, sell and discover desirable, affordable secondhand fashion. Together with its community of approximately 35 million registered users, Depop is on a mission to make fashion circular - encouraging more people to choose secondhand and extend the lives of their clothes, redefining fashion consumption. The company was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in London, with offices in New York and Manchester and a team of approximately 400 employees. In 2021, Depop became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Etsy - the global marketplace for unique and creative goods - and continues to operate as a standalone company. Find out more at www.depop.com Our mission is to make fashion circular and to create an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, no matter who they are or where they’re from. Just as our platform connects people globally, we believe our workplace should reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. We thrive on the power of different perspectives and experiences, knowing they drive innovation and bring us closer to our users. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer, providing employment opportunities without regard to age, ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy or maternity, marriage and civil partnership, or any other protected status. We’re continuously evolving our recruitment processes to ensure fairness and are open to accommodating any needs you might have.

We’re excited to welcome back some familiar faces who have chosen to return to Depop after exploring new opportunities. A big shoutout to our Repoppers; Ali Kagalwalla, Rosie Hartman, Josh Smart, Katrina Michanicou, and Joseph Pallamidessi 🎉 Joseph shared his thoughts on coming back, "Returning to Depop two years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve made. When people ask why, I always say it’s the strong friendships, sense of community, and shared mission that make this place more than just a job. I was excited to work again with brilliant colleagues who’ve become dear friends, and I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to lead crucial company-wide projects. If I had to make the choice again, I’d come back in a heartbeat!" Their return is a testament to the strength of our culture and the deep sense of community we’ve cultivated together. We’re thrilled to see how they’ll continue to shape the future of Depop! - More than 80 million items have been given a second life by Depop’s community since our marketplace started. That’s the equivalent of 10 pieces of clothing for every person in New York City. It’s 80 million items that didn’t need to be bought new. Making circular fashion more desirable and accessible is at the heart of our mission, and we’re proud of the real-world impact our community is driving. But we know there’s so much more to do, and we’re constantly working to improve the way we show up in the world. This week, we’ve published our Year 1 update on our Impact Goals - capturing what we’ve done in the last year to move toward our longer-term objectives across circularity, DEI, net zero and sustainable operations. From sharing our first Environmental Impact Measurement Methodology to launching and scaling our ‘Repop’ feature and making our product experience more inclusive; we’re working across five key pillars to drive positive impact for our community, teams and the wider world. ♻ Read our full update here >>> https://shorturl.at/YMWBdAnd learn more about our environmental impact calculations here >>> https://shorturl.at/NL0mo

- Behind the scenes on our latest brand campaign! ‘Welcome to Depop’ features talent cast from our community, and is all about welcoming more people to Depop - by showing just how easy it is to buy, sell and discover fashion in a more circular way. 🐾 Last week, some of our Depoppers had the incredible opportunity to use their Impact Hours at Fetcher Dog Rescue Centre - a charity rescuing stray dogs from Bosnia and UK shelters and finding them loving homes in the UK! 🐾 Our team jumped right in, helping with gardening and painting fences to create a welcoming space for dogs awaiting their forever homes.Aida Hota, Senior Technical Programme Manager at Depop said “Meeting some of the sweet dogs and the amazing team behind Fetcher Dog was a highlight. Their dedication to giving these dogs a second chance at life is truly inspiring, and I’m proud to have contributed to their noble mission. I’m super grateful to Depop for giving us the chance to volunteer for causes we believe in.” At Depop, we provide all full-time employees with 2 additional paid days per year to volunteer for causes close to their hearts. It’s our way of empowering everyone to give back to the community and contribute to positive environmental and social impact. The evening's entertainment included a SWANA knowledge quiz, a performance from Al Awde Zafa musicians and an incredible DJ set by DJ Yu Yu! A special thank you to Mouna’s Kitchen for serving authentic Syrian dishes, perfectly complemented by Ethiopian digestifs and Lebanese wine from Massaya. What an extraordinary way to celebrate Depop’s diverse and vibrant community!
