Depop is hiring! We’re looking for Campus Managers in the US to represent Depop on their campus for the Fall Semester 2025. We care about creating a community that supports our mission to make fashion circular, and we want to work with students who feel the same way. ♻️ As a Campus Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to host pop-ups, clothing swaps, tabling events and more at your university, in a team of 2 per campus. These real-life events aim to bring the Depop community to life for new and existing users who are interested in secondhand fashion and extending the lives of their clothes. Last week, a group of Depop employees rolled up their sleeves (and boots!) and joined forces with the amazing Washed Up Cards team to help clean up the River Thames. In just over an hour, they collected 7 bags of plastic and rubbish - that’s approximately 70kg of waste removed from the riverbanks! Despite the mud and the challenge, the energy was high and the smiles were even bigger. A huge thank you to everyone who took part for your hard work, positivity, and for making the day so enjoyable! At Depop, we’re proud to support our employees in giving back. Every team member can use two Impact Days per year to dedicate their time, skills, or expertise to worthy causes or communities outside of their normal work. Yesterday’s clean-up is just one example of how lending a hand can make a real difference. Earlier this week, I attended an inspiring Tech Nation event at the House of Lords focused on climate policy barriers in the tech space. It was amazing to see so many businesses working at the intersection of technology and sustainability, proving that circular and climate-positive solutions are not just possible - they’re already being scaled. I represented Depop on the ♻️ circular economy ♻️ roundtable alongside peeps from CLUBZERØ, Notpla, Xampla, Greyparrot, techUK, Deloitte, Montfort Communications, DisCom and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to learn about the trailblazing innovations happening across different industries. From packaging that actually disappears, to AI-powered recycling and deposit return scheme infrastructure, there's a lot going on! But one thing is apparent: policy needs to keep pace with innovation. It's clear there's a pressing need for an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for textiles in the UK 👗 ♻️ 🇬🇧. A scheme would help the fashion industry prioritise circular practices, durability, sustainable fibre composition and production practices - driving real, systemic change. This Mental Health Awareness Week, our Wellbeing & Mental Health Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Depop led a powerful week of initiatives focused on taking care of ourselves and each other. With this year's theme being ‘Community’, the ERG curated a series of sessions for our internal community to explore reflection, rest, and resilience, including: ✨ A mental health maintenance workshop with Self Space🎧 A calming sound bath session to recharge and reset 🍽️ A lunch & chat with the ERG executive sponsor Peter Semple⏸️ Encouragement across the company to take regular wellness breaks Huge shout out to Tom Lawrence, Charmaine Skrocki, Chloe Tuite-Sterling and Stephanie Irwin from our mental Health and Wellbeing ERG leadership for reminding us that wellbeing isn’t just a one-week conversation, but something we actively nurture all year round.
