- ⭐Retail IT Connect Success Story⭐ Retail IT Connect 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together IT leaders from the UK’s top retailers to tackle critical challenges, forge impactful partnerships, and set the stage for transformative change. One of the standout partnerships born from the event was between Ann Summers and Edgio, a collaboration that underscores the value of tailored solutions and strategic alignment. Ann Summers, the iconic retailer with a mission to empower and inspire women, was on the hunt for a solution to strengthen its cybersecurity amid rising digital threats. During Retail IT Connect, Ann Summers’ Technology Director, Jeannette C., attended Edgio’s presentation on bot management and cybersecurity, sparking a dialogue that revealed Edgio’s potential as a strategic partner. 🌱 Happy Sustainability Day 🌱 At eTail Connect Spring, we believe in the power of sustainability and collective action. That's why we're thrilled to announce our exciting initiative with One Tree Planted: for every registration, we're donating £1 on your behalf! 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: • Partner with venues that have a robust sustainability policy. • Source locally produced food where possible and minimise waste. • Go paperless where possible – all information is available on our conference app. • Use sustainable items e.g. reusable lanyards and badge holders, recyclable signage, reusable decor. • Eliminate plastic water bottles where possible. • Promote public / shared transport routes for attendees and our staff. • Collaborate with suppliers local to the venue and use their resources to reduce the volume of materials shipped. 𝟱 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝐞𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆: • Research the most carbon-efficient travel options to the conference and consider using rail.
