Four down... 15? 43? many more to go The long awaited publication of screening values for the four PFAS covered by the EFSA tolerable weekly intake has highlighted the need for human health risk assessors to be able to derive assessment criteria protective of human health for the large - and ever growing - number of other PFAS that are being found in soils and groundwater. Next week over two mornings (16 & 17 July) I am running a live online workshop to help risk assessors know how to derive generic assessment criteria for use on their projects for those PFAS routinely tested for in soil including those for which there is little or no toxicological information from which to derive a health based guideline value. My latest blog: Unveiling the Blueprint: NPPF’s Quest for Beauty in Building Better and Beautiful Places Given the current consultation on making it easier to build houses on brownfield, we need to keep in mind that HOW we build and WHAT we build is as important as WHERE we build.#tldr The NPPF expects beautiful buildings, places and settings that are attractive, healthy, worth communities owning and caring for. The Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission challenged planners to refuse ugliness and seek beauty to turn anywhere into somewhere, and nowhere into home.https://lnkd.in/eZUGrkUu

It seems we have been naughty - Santa decided to treat us all to a new edition of the National Planning Policy Framework. An early present to help us avoid all those seasonal specials our TV tries to entice us with. There is probably just enough time to get a copy printed and bound for that last minute just right gift to our significant others ;-) The link is here:https://lnkd.in/dCsprBVe
