- 💓 New data demonstrates Vektor Medical, Inc.’s AI-powered vMap algorithm achieves 91% accuracy in distinguishing epicardial and endocardial ventricular tachycardia Vektor Medical, a leader in non-invasive arrhythmia analysis and localization, announced today the presentation of new data showcasing the significant capabilities of vMap, its AI-powered solution for enhancing cardiac arrhythmia treatment. To be presented on November 17 at the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions 2024, this data highlights vMap’s impressive 91.1% accuracy rate in differentiating epicardial from endocardial ventricular tachycardia, outperforming traditional visual ECG analysis, which achieved only 62.5% accuracy. The vMap algorithm demonstrated 91.1% accuracy and an impressive sensitivity of 97.1%, significantly outmatching the top-performing visual ECG methods. - 🏥Cofactor Genomics launches OncoPrism-NSCLC for lung cancer patients OncoPrism-NSCLC is now validated and ready for use, expanding the clinical applications of OncoPrism. This diagnostic platform generates multidimensional immune biomarkers using Predictive Immune Modelling to improve immunotherapy response predictions. This follows Medicare coverage for Cofactor’s OncoPrism-HNSCC test. Both tests leverage Cofactor’s Health Expression Models, combining RNA expression with machine learning to predict ICI treatment outcomes. Recently, Cofactor Genomics published the clinical validation of the head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) test. It uses RNA modelling technology to predict response to immunotherapy. - 💓Boston Scientific’s WATCHMAN FLX device yields positive results in OPTION trial The finding is part of the three-year results from the global clinical trial, which evaluated the WATCHMAN FLX LAAC device for reducing stroke risk in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation after cardiac ablation. The results, presented at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2024 and published in The New England Journal of Medicine, indicate the device’s effectiveness in reducing bleeding risks compared to first-line oral anticoagulation (OAC) therapies. The OPTION trial assessed the WATCHMAN FLX device against OAC, including direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) and warfarin, in a study involving 1,600 patients across 114 sites in the US, Europe, and Australia. - 🤝The Lubrizol Corporation and Polyhose India Pvt Ltd to establish medical tubing plant in India As part of their collaboration, Lubrizol and Polyhose will establish a medical manufacturing site in Tamil Nadu to allow the localisation of medical tubing. Lubrizol said that the facility will increase its local medical tubing production five-fold, improving access to life-saving medical tubing in India and global markets. The medical tubing produced will support neurovascular and cardiovascular applications, including balloon catheters and minimally invasive procedure catheters. The medical tubing will use Lubrizol’s medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and other thermoplastic polymers. These materials are designed to provide biocompatibility and ensure patient comfort.
