About us
Nanomation is a semiconductor software start-up from the University of Cambridge Department of Engineering. Our patented technology makes it possible for the semiconductor industry to manufacture with nanomaterials for the first time, paving the way for faster, more powerful, and more efficient chips. Improved microchip performance has historically been achieved by increasing the number of transistors on each chip. This process is becoming increasingly difficult as we are reaching the physical limits of how densely packed chips can get. Nanomaterials, measuring just 1000th of the width of a human hair, have the potential to transform chip manufacturing, through increasing the power, speed, and efficiency of chips without needing to further increase transistor density. Until now, industry has not been able to access the benefits of these transformative materials. Nanomation changes this through the world's first nanomaterial-specific chip manufacturing software solution. If you would like to discuss how our unique software could help your business, please get in touch.

Our September update is out today 🚨 In this issue: 🔬💻⚡ While at the University of Cambridge, PhD student Teja Potocnik worked daily with new materials to build next-generation chips, but found herself increasingly frustrated by the slow and lengthy process to manufacture them. Now she's built her own solution 🎬 Nanomation, which can slash manufacturing times from 5 weeks to a couple of hours. Full story via the link below 👇 🎯🤖 Several portfolio companies are hiring – check out our latest roundup of team updates and news to learn more. There are opportunities to join Cohort 3 Infinitopes, a fast-growing team on a mission to deliver affordable cancer vaccines 💫 Cohort 5 cybersecurity startup RevEng.AI 🌐 Cohort 4 Solve Intelligence, which has a product that's already being used by 100+ IP teams globally 👩🏻⚖️ and more. ⏳👀 It's official, we have a date: the Conception X deeptech Demo Day is happening on 12 November! More on this soon, but we've secured a keynote by the visionary founder of a globally leading AI startup and there will be up to 15 pitches from freshly incorporated startups that are ready to raise 🔥 Full update 👇https://lnkd.in/e466iP33 - Looking forward to going back to Taiwan next week to attend SEMICON Taiwan 2024. Come speak to us at the UK Pavilion!

Thank you so much to Founders at the University of Cambridge for the opportunity to present our technology to a room of investors at #DemoDay at the end of the Start Accelerator 1.0 Programme #Semiconductors #Spinouts #CambridgeUniversity
Here's a little glimpse into last week's incredible Investor Demo Day and the journey that we've been on with our first Start 1.0 Accelerator Programme 👀 For the past 12 weeks, the 11 University of Cambridge companies worked extremely hard to refine their propositions, work with EIRs and develop their technology into what we believe will be globally impactful businesses. As our MD Gerard Grech said "They simply aced it in every way". Covering life sciences, climate tech, biotech & materials science, the demo day was an opportunity for them to introduce their businesses to hundreds of top investors. This truly is just the beginning. We invite you to follow each and every one of them - you're going to want to see where they journey to next, and be with them all the way: AetoSense, BioTryp Therapeutics, BravelyCultured, Cambridge Vision Technology, Molyon, Nanomation, Orbit, Protonera, VOLTQUANT, William Oak Diagnostics, and Xterna. For a deeper dive into each company in the Start Accelerator 1.0 Cohort, please visit our website here: https://bit.ly/4a3gbUwThank you again to everyone who helped make Thursday's event happen. From those who took to stage including the University of Cambridge's Vice Chancellor Deborah Prentice and Pro-Vice Chancellor for Innovation Diarmuid O'Brien, Yoram Wijngaarde & Dealroom.co, Alexandra French & Xampla, Umaima Malik Ahmad & 52North - creators of Neutrocheck®, Rebecca Simmons & Riverlane, Saul Klein & Phoenix Court, Parmy Olson & Bloomberg News, to our team and colleagues at Cambridge Enterprise who tirelessly made the event, and this first programme, a success. #spinouts #innovation #cambridgeuniversity #demodayVideo featuring Gerard Grech, Diarmuid O'Brien, Charlotte Esler, Alexander Patto, Akshat Sharma, Rebecca Simmons, and Andrew Kadis - with our thanks for their words, and to Dillon Steele for producing. - We are very excited to pitch at Demo Day tomorrow!
It's Investor Demo Day-Eve!! We're so incredibly proud of Cohort 1.0 of our Start Programme who have shown such determination and courage in the past 12 weeks. Tomorrow we'll be showcasing the incredible technologies and the teams behind them, but today we're reflecting on the ride we've taken together. Congratulations to AetoSense, BioTryp Therapeutics, BravelyCultured, Cambridge Vision Technology, Molyon, Nanomation, Orbit, Protonera, VOLTQUANT, William Oak Diagnostics, and Xterna for all their hard work during Start! For those of you who were lucky enough to get a spot to see the demos tomorrow, we can't wait to see you! If you can't make it, stay tuned for the video highlights next week #innovation #cambridgeuniversity #demoday
