It’s #NationalEngineeringDay and we’re looking back at a previous case study in which we were contracted to find a solution to a challenging engineering task. 🔙 We were tasked with repairing a defective, 125-year-old, 50m length of 225mmØ foul sewer, which ran through the vaults of a Victorian building that is now one of the most prestigious hotels in central Bath. 🆕👉In our latest case study, find out more about the concrete repair works we completed for PD Ports. Due to consistent traffic and heavy shipping loads, twelve shipping container platform slabs at Teesport had become cracked and broken, allowing water ingress which subsequently damaged the concrete reinforcement. Working closely with the port, we repaired the slabs to the client specification, on time and within the budget. It’s #RecycleWeek and we’d like to share an OnSite update that may inspire you to think about how you discard unwanted items without harming the environment. The team has recently used Freelywheely, a freecycle website which allows users to list and donate unwanted items, to dispose of some furniture from the Dinnington office. ♻🛋 The team had responses from Mayflower Sanctuary Limited and Hemsworth Spiritualist Church, who both attended the office, rescued the furniture, and gave it a new home. 🆕👉 We’re pleased to share with you our latest case study about our work with Severn Trent on their Green Recovery Programme. The scheme of work has seen us swap out aging and leaky lead supply pipes with upgraded plastic pipes on properties across Coventry.
