About us

Alter Technology UK has an extensive packaging and design capability, supporting Microelectronics and Photonics assembly of semiconductor devices including ASICs, MEMS, LEDs, Laser Diodes, VCSELs and Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC). Our Fast Turn prototype assembly helps customers with rapid evaluation of new designs. Our state of the art, automated assembly equipment now includes a plastic encapsulation capability for QFN and can support volume ramp-up into the millions of dies per year. Alter UK’s line of robust Photonic Products includes FLAME and REMOTE, narrow-linewidth laser modules for Quantum technology applications and Optical Transceiver for intra-satellite space communications.

🤝Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Carlos Lee EPIC from EPIC - EUROPEAN PHOTONICS INDUSTRY CONSORTIUM. 🏭 During the visit we demonstrated our advanced microelectronic and photonic AS9100-certified manufacturing capability all housed within our ISO7 cleanroom (Picture not taken in clean room! 🤔) at our site in Livingston, Scotland. 🔧 Alter UK operate as a European OSAT covering all aspects of back-end-of-line semiconductor device production such as wafer dicing, die-attach, wire bonding, optical/fibre alignment, hermetic sealing, and encapsulation.#EuropeanOSAT #Photonics #Microelectronics #EPIC
