October 10 is World Mental Health Day. This year's theme is Workplace Mental Health, and we're observing the day with workshops, messages from our wonderful Mental Health First Aiders, and badge-making to show our support. It's ok to not be ok sometimes, and by listening we can make a huge difference to our family, friends and colleagues.
This week we were delighted to once again host our very good friends at SpecialEffect ahead of today’s #OneSpecialDayTo help raise money for their amazing work making games accessible to those with physical disabilities, we offered our team the chance to own some of our in-house games library in exchange for donations, and everyone got involved making tasty treats courtesy of a smoothie bike!
We did it! We’ve won the CSR Award at the GamesIndustry.Biz Best Places to Work Awards, for the 3rd year in a row! We couldn’t have done this without the diligent and continuous efforts of our fantastic team. As always, a huge congratulations to all of this year’s amazing winners.
Today we're wrapping on a month of Pride celebrations here at Rocksteady HQ. But even though Pride Month is over, our support and dedication to the LGBTQIA+ community, our staff, and our players, never stops. Here's to all courageous enough to show up and "Honour Their Truths".
As part of our #Pride2024 celebrations, we hosted a networking event for our friends at Out Making Games, and we just had to make sure our studio decorations fit the theme. Out Making Games is an amazing group that exists to connect and empower the LGBTQ+ community working in the games industry across the UK, and we're proud to support them.
We're hiring for a number of high-impact roles here at Rocksteady, and want to extend these opportunities to anyone who may be looking for the next step in their career. We're especially sending our thoughts and support to the teams at Sumo, who have been outstanding development partners to us over the years. This year at Rocksteady we are celebrating Pride Month by “Honouring Our Truths”. This theme stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, within Rocksteady, for our players, and across the world. It recognises the challenges and inequities LGBTQIA+ individuals continue to face against systems of oppression, and serves as a reminder to the continuing need for safe and uplifting spaces for LGBTQIA+ people.
