About us

The Rugby Players Association is the representative body and collective voice of elite rugby players in England. We represent more than 600 male and female current rugby players, as well as more than 100 former players. It is our mission to support, promote and protect the interests of our members, from the moment they begin their elite careers, throughout their playing days, and beyond as they embark on the next phase of their lives. Our members enjoy a wide range of benefits, including: independent representation; legal advice; personal and professional development; playing insurance; education; confidential counselling; transition support; and much more. Members can also access the support of our official charity, Restart, in the event of serious illness, injury or hardship. The RPA is a not-for-profit registered trade union.

The PWR season kicks off on Saturday and to help launch the new campaign we have shone the spotlight on nine of our brilliant players who as well as playing elite rugby have a job. We are grateful for the help of MATTA and Getty Images in bringing I'm Powered Differently to life. The individual stories will be released on our YouTube channel in the run-up to the new season.

A busy few weeks seeing out pre-season. Great to meet up with Cookie Patel at The Professional Cricketers' Association to generate some fresh ideas and step outside of rugby. It’s good to look from the outside in every so often. Presenting the impact of last year and the new seasons objectives to the squad Northampton Saints. Showcasing the work the Rugby Players Association has done on behalf of the players with the new Professional Game Partnership. New faces at the clubs already feeling like they’ve been around years.
