More than a buzzword, AI has the power to change the future of agriculture. Farmers need more innovative solutions to overcome the challenges posed by climate change, and transition towards more sustainable farming practices that help them obtain better yields to feed the increasing world population while safeguarding the environment and biodiversity. So, it’s a significant milestone that we at Syngenta are partnering with a pioneer in AI technologies TraitSeq to use artificial intelligence to develop innovative high-performing biostimulants. In this space, collaboration is key to speeding up the development of the next generation of biostimulants: our researchers will be able to leverage Syngenta’s extensive data sets across different scientific areas such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and phenomics. Using TraitSeq’s proprietary platform, allows both teams to take advantage of AI to analyze complex biological big data, and crack the molecular interactions behind the crop’s ability to utilize available nutrients in the soil. Aligned with Syngenta’s Sustainability Priorities, and with our ambition to strengthen our portfolio, this collaboration is critical to leverage innovation and bring solutions into the hands of growers, faster, by partnering with other innovators. -
