About us
Our purpose is to help the world’s energy transition through wind power. As the world decarbonises, demand for renewable energy, especially wind power, is soaring. In response, the scale and sophistication of renewable energy projects is increasing. Yet, the wind services market is highly fragmented, with many experienced but small thinly capitalised players needing support to grow and respond to expected demand. Venterra is building a best-in-class services company to meet this demand. We are acquiring and integrating select companies in the sector, adding our management expertise and capital to fuel expansion. Asset-light and technology driven, with a truly collaborative culture, Venterra is helping its Group companies scale rapidly.

I am delighted to be joining the UK in Taiwan 英國在台辦事處 and the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCTaipei) next week to present as part of the UK Pavilion at Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2024. As Taiwan becomes the UK's largest offshore wind market in the Asia-Pacific, the pavilion will highlight UK companies' expertise and contributions to this growing sector, with a special focus on the strong economic ties between the UK and Taiwan. My presentation: “Geotechnical Risk Management of Offshore Windfarm Projects”- an area vital to the success and safety of offshore projects. At the event, I’ll be joined by my locally-based colleague Venterra Group Taiwan Country Manager Valerie Chang, and we look forward to connecting with clients and key industry stakeholders. Please connect with us to learn more about Venterra's comprehensive service offering and how we can support your project.#HelpingWindPowerGrow #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition #Taiwan #APAC -

👌 We are proud to highlight the exceptional work by the Venterra Group Geoscience team and our UXO specialists on the Ostsee Anbindungsleitung (OAL) subsea pipeline. The team's key role in providing UXO risk management services helped fast-track this 50-km project with a completed timeline down from the typical 5-6 years to an incredible 17 months! 👏 Our team's comprehensive UXO desk-based study and risk assessment were crucial in securing ALARP certification, ensuring safe execution, and earning high praise from our partners, StreamTec Solutions AG and GASCADE Gastransport GmbH. This project not only highlights our teams' expertise but also their agility in handling complex, high-stakes infrastructure. Well done, Team Geoscience! And on the third day... The influx continued to the Venterra team. It’s been an eventful day with no let up with critical discussions into the future of offshore wind in emerging markets. Highlights today included: 🌍 Creating Offshore Wind Opportunities in Emerging Markets Our EVP of Engineering Paul Doherty, PhD., facilitated a highly engaging panel that explored the opportunities to deliver offshore wind in emerging markets and focused on the importance of learning from established markets while addressing challenges such as grid infrastructure, market access, consenting pathways, and supply chain uncertainties. With expert contributions from Peter Donnelly (Invest Northern Ireland) and Michael Humphreys (Western Power), the session sparked insightful conversations about nascent markets like Northern Ireland and others. 💡 GWEC's Thought Leader Session: Challenges in Emerging Markets - New Frontiers: Later in the day, Paul Doherty returned to moderate another thought-provoking session on some of the hurdles emerging offshore wind markets are facing. Industry leaders, including Benoit Moreaux (GWEC), James-Augustine Foley (Santander), Peter Lefroy (RWE), Philipp-Nikolas Otto (ENBW), and Hanh Bui Vestas Vietnam), shared their expertise on navigating the complex regulatory and technical landscapes of offshore wind. 📍 Key takeaway? The global wind industry is moving fast, and the potential for emerging markets is massive, but collaboration, innovation, and addressing critical infrastructure challenges are key to unlocking that potential. 🇩🇪 Hamburg, du warst großartig#WindEnergyHamburg #OffshoreWind #Venterra #HelpingWindPowerGrow- +4

🌏 Offshore wind is gaining momentum worldwide, and South Korea is emerging as a key player. To build a successful offshore wind market, countries must focus on four key pillars: a route to market, grid infrastructure, environmental consenting, and a scalable supply chain. South Korea is well-positioned to meet these needs, thanks to its established shipbuilding industry and recent political commitment to renewable energy. 🌊 With the launch of the offshore wind auction roadmap by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, offering up to 8 GW of capacity by 2026, the market is set for significant growth. Venterra has taken steps to support this by establishing a local presence, leveraging our expertise to help navigate the challenges and opportunities of this promising market. Discover more about South Korea’s offshore wind potential and Venterra’s role in this growing sector. 🔗 Click the link to read the full insight by Jinho Paik Venterra Group Country Manager for South Korea: https://lnkd.in/ga-HC2mr #HelpingWindPowerGrow #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition #SouthKorea #APAC - Wow, what a day! Time to catch our breath. The energy at WindEnergy Hamburg was electric, with offshore wind buzzing across the globe; it’s clear from speaking with clients and industry stakeholders just how much momentum this industry has right now. Our team was in serious demand, and the BD team is beaming after a day packed with client meetings. Highlights? A visit from Belgian Energy Minister Tinne Van der Straeten and an insightful fireside chat on the Venterra Group-sponsored Offshore Stage with British Ambassador to Germany, Andrew Mitchell CMG, and Venterra’s Paul Doherty, PhD. Doherty. Newly appointed, Ambassador Mitchell drew from his wealth of experience as Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe to discuss the importance of UK-German collaboration under the North Sea Cooperation Agreement. He wrapped up with a discussion on UK supply chain pressures, where Paul Doherty outlined ongoing measures to address the challenges. ✅ Day one done, and we’re just getting started! 💪 #WindEnergyHamburg #OffshoreWind #Venterra #HelpingWindPowerGrow

The worlds largest Vibro Lifting Tool, the CAPE VLT-640 Quad, was used by installation contractor DEME Group on board of its Offshore Heavy Lift DP3 installation vessel Orion to install 29 flanged monopiles with a bottom diameter up to 10 meters and a length of up to 91 meters for the OW Ocean Winds Moray West offshore wind farm in Scottish waters. The CAPE VLT was chosen as a mitigation measure to prevent pile run. Additional features, such as certified pile handling and upending capabilities, helped make the installation process much more controlled, particularly in combination with the Dynamic Positioning system of the vessel and the state of the art installation tools from DEME. All 29 piles were installed within a total of just 60 days. CAPE Holland is looking back on a great performance of the CAPE VLT with no mechanical breakdown of the equipment which was all newly built, including the newly developed power units (PU-2600) which were also stacked to reduce required deck space.
