About us
Economic Development within Aberdeenshire Council exists to benefit business and communities and all those looking to find out about Aberdeenshire or relocating to the area. A dedicated team of Business Development Executives, industry specialists and support staff are available to provide advice and information on a range of topics with regard to all aspects of business and trade development. We can lead you through the maze of grant applications, the primary programme for assisting local companies being the Support for Aberdeenshire Business (SAB) scheme, advise on loan applications, marketing your business, European Initiatives and keep you up to date with new developments in the area. Our network of partnerships with other local councils and various bodies, agencies and industry organisations including Scottish Enterprise, Business Gateway and Opportunity North East will enable us to direct you to exactly the right people to supports start-up and growing businesses. Aberdeenshire Council also promotes industrial and commercial development through the provision of business units currently available in a number of locations throughout the area. Our objective is for the Council to create the conditions for sustainable economic growth, diversification and regeneration within Aberdeenshire and the wider region.

- π Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week We have officially launched our first Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week #AberdeenshireRW at The Falls of Feugh Restaurant near #Banchory. π Special offers and menus will be offered throughout the region by a range of #restaurants #cafes and #hotels who have signed up in support of the pilot festival. Value, quality and provenance will be showcased by the participating #Aberdeenshire venues with something for all tastes and budgets, helping to celebrate Aberdeenshire Loves Local. π¬ Aberdeenshire Council Leader, Cllr Gillian Owen said: βIβm really excited to be at the launch of the first-ever Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week and I want to encourage local people and visitors alike to support all the participating businesses and sample the tremendous range of menus and rich dining experiences the region has to offer. "The north-east hospitality and food and drink sectors are incredibly important to our economy and we must continue to do everything we can to engage existing and new customers for our businesses.β π¬ Cllr Isobel Davidson added: βItβs great to see so many restaurants signing up to our inaugural Restaurant Week. The excellent range of offers across the region and the range of menus will ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. "The hospitality industry is vitally important, not only for our home market but also for our growing national and international tourism offering.
