Katie Price's confessions from taking cocaine before crash to biggest regrets (original) (raw)

Katie Price promises to be her most unfiltered and honest self in her new autobiography This is Me: The High Life. The Dark Days. The FULL Story.

So it's no surprise the bombshells in her book pack a punch. From what really happened with Carl Woods to her biggest regrets and taking cocaine before getting behind the wheel, Price has told her side of the story in her latest autobiography that hit the shelves on Thursday.

The mum-of-five had a huge warning for readers before they dive into the latest pages of her life. She told The Sun: "There's actually a warning at the beginning of the book that you could get PTSD [post traumatic stress disorder] from reading it, because it's quite a serious book."

We take a look at some of the most shocking moments from her autobiography...

It opens with Price's regrets. Some of her biggest regrets are the times where she hasn't spoken up for herself or left things unsaid. Price said she was pushed to breaking point when her marriage to Peter Andre ended in the spotlight.

Among the regrets, the TV star said she should have spoken up more when the media played her against Andre. The former glamour model shared her shock at people being able to buy 'Team Kate' or 'Team Pete' T-shirts and hats.

She wrote: "People made a fortune from a devastating time in my life. There was no ‘team’, it wasn’t a game. It was a sad situation, it was a marriage break-up and yet it was treated with mockery and amusement by the press, and sadly, also by people I trusted, who saw me at breaking point and, despite that, continued over and over again to keep pushing me down."

We all remember The Sun headline "I was punched... then I ran" that shocked the nation and sent shockwaves through the showbiz circuit. Now Price is telling her truth behind that moment. Looking back, the author said her ex Woods didn't punch her but he wasn't allowed to speak to her for two weeks after his arrest.

Taking the reader behind closed doors, the mum-of-five remembered having a row with her then-boyfriend. It started when they were watching Love Island together at home. The argument broke out after her most recent ex at the time, Kris Boyson, sent her a message.

Price wrote: "There was absolutely nothing to it but because of that day, my whole life imploded. But it turned out to be the turning point I needed in my life."

After it all went down with Woods, Price sought the help of her therapist at The Priory. Price kept up with the cameras, filming her reality series Mucky Mansion because she loved doing it. There is no holding back in this autobiography though because her next confession is arguably one of the most shocking.

Price admitted to taking cocaine before getting behind the wheel of her car and crashing it. Going back to that night in September 2021, the TV personality said she had invited some friends over. She wrote: "One of them had some coke on them and, yes, I had a little bit of it, probably a couple of lines, it wasn't even a lot. I had some alcohol too."

Price told her readers that this wasn't normal behaviour for her. Once her friends had gone home, she took a heartbreaking call from Princess who was upset because she was told she couldn't see her mum. The mother and daughter are incredibly close and still are.

Her head was spinning, she wasn't thinking and she was desperate to see a friend. She thought it would be ok as her friend lived a short distance away from her in Henfield but she couldn't be more wrong. Price got into her car and she crashed it, that's all she remembers. Her BMW flipped over and the star was rushed to hospital. Her mum Amy is still traumatised by this.

Her book takes her back to some of the darkest moments in her life. Among them, Price recalled being sexually assaulted in front of her children in South Africa in 2018. The former glamour model said she was deeply affected by seeing the impact it had on Princess and Junior. "When you see your children living a horror story and you can't stop it, you become haunted by it," she wrote.

In a harrowing moment in her book, Price remembered the dark moment unfolded. She wrote: "Their hands were all over me, and in me and down in my trousers. I just kept saying, 'Get off me, get off me! I've got nothing!' But they took everything, all the jewellery I had and my watch."

Price compared the aftermath like a "zombie film" leaving the whole family in a "state of shock". They were out in South Africa filming ITV1 reality show, My Crazy Life.
