Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract, extending his tenure with the club after joining from Bayern Munich in 2023.
Gravenberch has starred for Liverpool under Arne Slot, but arrived during Jurgen Klopp's final season at the club. The Dutch midfielder became a key player after Liverpool failed to sign a holding midfielder, helping them to the Premier League title last season.
While Slot has admitted that Gravenberch has struggled at times this season, the midfielder has scored four goals this campaign, tied with his career best. Gravenberch is extremely happy at Liverpool, and according to ESPN, has agreed to a six-year deal running to the end of the 2031-32 season.

"I feel really, really good," Gravenberch said after signing his new deal. "I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club. So, I’m really happy that I can stay for many more years.
"I felt directly the trust from the club, also from the manager. The decision for me was easy to make. My family is also happy here. We are now here almost three years, so I know everything already. I’m happy that I’m here."
Gravenberch was born and raised in Amsterdam and joined the Ajax academy at the age of eight. The prestigious academy soon recognized Gravenberch as a major talent, and he became the youngest player ever to make an appearance for the senior team.

He made his Eredivisie debut aged 16 years and 130 days, surpassing the record of 16 years and 242 days set by soccer legend Clarence Seedorf. Gravenberch also became the youngest goalscorer in Ajax history and made 102 appearances for the club.
Gravenberch left Ajax in 2022 to join Bayern Munich, but was sold to Liverpool the following summer after making 34 appearances for the German club. Still only 23, Gravenberch has become a key player for Liverpool and has now committed his long-term future to the Premier League champions.
Since arriving at Anfield, Gravenberch has made 123 appearances and celebrated winning the Carabao Cup and the Premier League title. Gravenberch now hopes to end a disappointing season on a high note, with his sights set on future success.

"For the short term, [my aim is to] end the season as good as possible," he added. "And for the long term: win many more trophies with Liverpool.
"I have a really nice relationship with [the fans]. Always when I do something good in the stadium I hear them singing my chant.
"I’m really grateful for the supporters because without them we would not be where we are now. In the future, we want to give them many more [trophies], so hopefully we can get that done."
Liverpool is facing an uphill battle to finish in a Champions League spot due to an inconsistent Premier League campaign. However, the club remains in the FA Cup and the Champions League, meaning that silverware could be achievable this season.
