Wingspan c. 9-11mm.
A rather scarce species, occurring locally on sandy or calcareous soil, in central southern England.
The moths are dayflying and can be found on the wing in two generations, between May and August.
The larval foodplant is bastard-toadflax (Thesium humifusum), the larvae feeding in the shoots when small, and later in a slight web on the leaves themselves.
