Consequently, an integrated apiarian consultancy model has been built holding the following features: it realizes the diagnosis of the meliferous resources and supplies solutions for its optimal administration; it realizes the technical-economic of the apiarian exploitation adapted according to its objectives and identifies its optimal administration measures; it manages the local pollination services market; it realizes viable investment projects and ensures the management of their implementation; it elaborates aggregated indicators as efficient instruments of analysis and utilizes and informatics application of apiarian management used for realizing the specific objectives of the apiaries; it integrates the technical, econ...

The average size of the apiarian exploitation in the investigated sample was of 24,6 bees families per apiarian exploitation (NIS, 2008). The subjects category (the beekeepers in the apiarian exploitations) which hold the biggest share in the sample was the one with a herd smaller the 50 bees families with 81,0%. The field socio-economic research have been made as a part of the PN II 51-085/2007 Parteneriate research contract.

In this study, the authors aim to substantiate the legitimacy and the necessity of the support that must be given by the organisms of the State to the pollination servicesprovider apiarian exploitations. The research method utilized consists in determining the additional profit due to pollination by bees and the necessary of bees' families for the pollination of the principal entomophilous cultures existent at national level. The obtained results indicated the necessity of the support from the State for the diversification of the outputs with pollination services at the level of the exploitations with low rentability and for establishing apiarian exploitations specialized on supplying pollination services. Establishing the legitimacy of the support that may be granted b...

Landfills continue to represent the most frequent managerial practice for municipal solid wastes ... more Landfills continue to represent the most frequent managerial practice for municipal solid wastes and an increasing and complex problem globally. In certain countries, a transition to an open society and free market is superimposed on the transition to sustainability, resulting in even higher complexity of management. This paper proposes an approach for problem-structuring of landfills in complex transitions: sustainability or unsustainability of a management approach is determined by a set of sustainability filters that are defined by sets of indicators and prioritized according the systemic concept of sustainability, which says that economy is embedded in society, which is embedded in nature. The writers exercise this approach with an old landfill in Iasi, Romania, and conclude for unsustainability, because the ecological sustainability filter is not successfully passed. Social and economic sustainability filters are also discussed in relation with the ecological sustainability indicators. The described approach allows a coherent, transdisciplinary synthesis of knowledge scattered across various disciplines, a pervasive problem in landfill management. The case study helps distinguish between generally true and contextdependent aspects.

From religious wars to wars of conquest, historians believe that the causes of wars are closely related with religious, political or economic reasons. But when we discuss about civil unrest inside a country with the power of transforming it into a civil war and expanding at regional level, the triggering factors have yet to be discovered. From the period of the Qing Dinasty (1644-1911) in China to the Great Depression in the 1930s in the USA or the beginning of the second World War in France, these periods have two common points: civil unrest and food shortages.

The European Union Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) holds as principal objectives, as they were outlined in the Treaty of Rome, the following: increase productivity, by promoting technical innovation and ensuring optimum use of factors of production, ensure a fair standard of living for the agricultural community, stabilize agricultural markets, secure availability of agricultural supplies and provide consumers with food at reasonable prices. Over time, and depending on certain factors, new secondary objectives have been added such as: environmental protection, biodiversity, animal welfare, enhancement of rural areas. In the North-East Region of Romania, the impact of rural development policies implemented through the National Rural Development Programme (NRDP) has been assessed at regional and local level utilizing a combined analysis of statistical databases.

In particular, Rural Development and Strategic Consultancy provide access to high quality information and to appropiate protocols. The present paper aims to present the importance of strategic planning in durable rural development and, also, the role of a good practice model in the development of a rural community. The good practice model presented here was created as an experimental model for a middle-sized rural village based on statistical data provided by the National Statistics Institute.

Although a number of countries have made important changes towards developing food related policies, at the level of the global community, the challenge of food (in)security has not been able push policy makers to develop a common solution to be applied, solution that could include the regional and national specificities registered around the world, while also integrating a global view of increasing agricultural productivity, higher farm competitiveness and without relinquishing the national or individual right for food governance.

In identifying the entrepreneurial profile of the rural entrepreneur statistical national, from every country, and international databases have been used (ex. INS, National Bureau of Statistics of Nigeria, La Oficina Nacional de Estadisticas de Cuba, EUROSTAT). Features regarding the environment of origin, level of studies, age, sex etc were identified.

This thing is being reflected in the division of policies on spatial and sectorial criteria, urban planners usually concentrating on the importance of urban centers as commerce and transportation nods in the regional policy giving little attention to agricultural or rural-led development. It is based on statistical data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development and by the National Statistics Institute and on direct observation executed in the North – East region of Romania. The data has been processed into the following indicators: aging indicator, average number of rural inhabitants, active occupied population, infant mortality, the average index of poverty and others. This paper represents an overview of how the strategies of urban and rural are intertwined. It ends with some reco...

This represents an adaptation of this approach to another area of activity. Stratification criteria were established for the general domains at the level of all rural settlements in this development region (trade and catering, agriculture, living conditions, rural infrastructure, access to basic services, public order and safety, constructions, administration and civil society and others) that were then classified, according to actual needs of local communities, into areas of expertise. This conceptual model can be applied to the entire NorthEast development region, being built on data collected from 6 different counties

For the realization of the study the questionnaires method has been utilized which have been completed by a number of 80 agricultural consultancy specialists from 6 counties in the North - East Region. From the responses analysis, the following aspects emerged. All persons that ensure consultancy develop general activities from all fields of agriculture. There is a shortage of specialists, a person providing services to several thousand farmers. The consultants have benefited from training courses in consultancy, a short period of time, 2-8 weeks, fact that reflects on the services rendered. The local consultancy centres have a precarious endowment (office, computer, telephone), lacking transport means, training rooms, endowment with specific auxiliary means. Between consultancy methods, the biggest share is held by individual offic...

The most important activities that may be subject to the outsourcing process are: honey extraction, transport, the primary processing of apiarian products, packaging, bottling and labeling, marketing of bee products, financial-accounting records, the analysis the technical-economic projection, juridical assistance, promotion of apiarian products and services. The fructification of the mobility of certain activities in apiaries can be achieved by the following steps: the quantification of the level of usage of the available resources in the exploitation, the identification of alternatives to their own activities and the comparison of costs of alternatives with those of their own activities.
