In this paper, we introduce the input image selection-method to improve the reconstructed high-re... more In this paper, we introduce the input image selection-method to improve the reconstructed high-resolution (HR) image quality. To obtain ideal super-resolution (SR) reconstruction image, all input images are wellregistered. However, the registration is not ideal in practice. By reason of this, the number of input images with low registration error is more important than the number of input images in order to obtain good quality of a HR image. The input image suitability could be evaluated by using statistical and restricted registration properties. Therefore, we propose the input image evaluation-method in automatic manner as pre-processing of SR reconstruction and its architecture. In video sequences, all input images in specified region are allowed to use SR reconstruction as low-resolution (LR) input image and/or the reference image. The evaluation basis is decided by the threshold value and this threshold is calculated by using the maximum motion compensation error (MMCE) of the reference image. If the motion compensation error (MCE) of LR input image is in the range of 0 < MCE < MMCE then this LR input image is selected for SR reconstruction, else then LR input image are neglected. The optimal reference LR (ORLR) image is decided by comparing the number of the selected LR input (SLRI) images for each reference LR input (RLRI) image. Finally, we generate a HR image by using optimal reference LR image and selected LR images and by using the Hardie's interpolation method. This proposed algorithm is expected to improve the quality of SR without any user intervention.

A sorting-based algorithm by using RAVC is proposed to reduce the computation cost of block match... more A sorting-based algorithm by using RAVC is proposed to reduce the computation cost of block matching for motion estimation. This new algorithm is based on the characteristic of image that pixel matching errors with similar magnitude tend to appear in clusters for natural video sequences. By using this clustering characteristic, we proposed an adaptive Partial Distortion Search algorithm which significantly improved the computation efficiency. And to further reduce the computational complexity, we made use of virtual average value and defined Rough Average Value Calculation (RAVC) method. Simulation results showed that the new algorithm had a significant computational speed-up without introducing any loss in predicted image when compared to conventional PDE and NPDE.

This technique could be decrease area-overhead which it could generated bidirectional clock simultaneously using only one delay chain block. In this paper for high speed memory with relatively small size. This technique decreased area-overhead more 2 times than SMD(Synchronous Mirror Delay) technique. ADD technique has 50ps-140ps jitter and the operation frequency has 166MHz-66MHz range.(at 2.5V, TYP. condition)

Recently, sub-micron CMOS technologies have taken the place of III-V materials in a number of are... more Recently, sub-micron CMOS technologies have taken the place of III-V materials in a number of areas in integrated circuit designs, in particular even for the applications of gjgabit optical communication applications due to its low cost, high integration level, low power dissipation, and short turn-around time characteristics. In this paper, a four-channel transimpedance amplifier (TIA) array is realized in a standard 0.35mm CMOS technology Each channel includes an optical PIN photodiode and a TIA incorporating the fully differential regulated cascode (RGC) input configuration to achieve effectively enhanced transconductance(gm) and also exploiting the inductive peaking technique to extend the bandwidth. Post-layout simulations show that each TIA demonstrates the mid-band transimpedance gain of 59.3dBW, the -3dB bandwidth of 2.45GHz for 0.5pF photodiode capacitance, and the average noise current spectral density of 18.4pA/sqrt(Hz). The TIA array dissipates 92mw p in total from a single 3.3V supply The four-channel RGC TIA array is suitable for low-power, high-speed optical interconnect applications.

ABSTRACT To investigate the effect of CdO substitution, we prepared (Na0.5K0.5−x Cdx NbO3 (NKN:Cd... more ABSTRACT To investigate the effect of CdO substitution, we prepared (Na0.5K0.5−x Cdx NbO3 (NKN:Cd ceramics by using a conventional solid-state reaction method. The crystalline phase and the grain morphology of the NKN:Cd ceramics were confirmed by using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies, respectively. The dielectric and the electrical properties over a wide range of frequencies (100 Hz–1 MHz) and temperatures (30–600 °C) were investigated. In addition, the ferroelectric polarization (P-E hysteresis loop) and the piezoelectric (k p ) properties were estimated. A small amount of CdO substitution decreased the electrical conductivity and enhanced the ferroelectric and the piezoelectric properties.

General boundary extraction method can bring good result in detection of lane on the road. But a shadow on the road, or other boundaries, such as horizontal lines can be detected. The method using morphological operations was used to extract information about Lane. By applying HSV color model for color information of lane, the candidate of the lane can be extracted. In this paper, the lane detection region was set by Hough transformation using the candidate of the lane. By extracting lane markings on the lane detection region, lane detection method can bring good result.

In recent years, the study of IoT (Internet of things) has been expanded to M2M (machine to machi... more In recent years, the study of IoT (Internet of things) has been expanded to M2M (machine to machine) and V2V (vehicle to vehicle) communication using image information. Accurate image sensing is required for this kind of technology. This paper describes a normalized numeric image descriptor used to assess the luminance and contrast of the image. The proposed image descriptor uses each pixel's data as a weighted value of the probability density function. It is further defined by normalization for objective representation. The proposed numeric image descriptor can be used in the adaptive gamma process because it suggests an objective basis of the gamma value selection. In particular, it is possible to use tone mapping in illumination changes and low illumination because of its high dynamic range.
