University of Mount Olive freshmen are required to live on campus, unless they plan to commute from home, which gives a majority of our new students the chance to experience residence life in our residence halls and create new connections with other students and have an enriched campus experience.

Our Campus Activities Board also hosts a variety of on-campus and off-campus events for University of Mount Olive students, including movie nights, socials, speakers, musical productions, sporting events, and much more. We encourage our students to have experiences outside of the classrooms and lecture auditoriums.

Founded by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists, the University of Mount Olive is an institution rooted in Christian values. We hold optional weekly chapel services, and several student-led, faith-based groups are available as well. We believe spiritual growth is another important aspect of student life on campus.
