This research shows the factors affecting young Malaysian consumers’ switching intention towards biodegradable plastic rather than traditional plastic (synthetic plastics). In this study, there are three factors to be considered whether they influence the young consumers in Malaysia to change their intention towards biodegradable plastic. The three factors are environmental concern, knowledge and the perceived value of biodegradable plastic. However, biodegradable plastic’s switching intention is also affected by biodegradable plastic’s attitude, where the three factors influence this attitude. Thus, all variables are considered in this research to investigate the reasons for switching intention from synthetic to biodegradable plastics among young Malaysian consumers. Design/methodology/approach In line with the recent economic growth, especially in develop...

The study gathers data from the Scopus and ISI Web of Science databases, then picks 1042 publications objectively and analyses their metadata. Furthermore, 144 papers from the Web of Science are analysed to present insights and classifications of the literature based on content analyses, including assessment/evaluation of the sustainability of bio-based and biodegradable Plastics, sustainability of biodegradable Plastics, and factors driving the uptake of biodegradable plastics. The study finds that most research on bio-based and biodegradable plastic film evaluations considered only one dimension of sustainability, few considered two dimensions, and very few considered three dimensions. Though, in recent years, academic and industrial interest has grown dramatically in biodegradable plastics towards sustainability. The triple bottom line method in this report (economic benefit, social responsibility, and environmental protection) was employed to assess the biodegradable plastics towards sustainability. Top journals, Influential authors, top contributing institutions, top contributing nations, and contributions by fields are all identified in this study. This research gives a detailed but straightforward theoretical design of bio-based and biodegradable polymers. The study's results and future research initiatives provide a new path for further investigation and contribution to the field.

This paradigm change has led Malaysians to pay more attention to synthetic plastics challenges, particularly in Malaysia. This study aims to determine the attitudes of young Malaysian consumers on the usage of biodegradable plastics to minimize the use of synthetic plastic in the country. Generally, two motivations—hedonic and environmental motivations toward switching intention from synthetic to biodegradable plastic among the young consumers were examined in the study. Environmental motivations (environmental concern, environmental knowledge), as well as hedonic motivations (adventurous spirit, novelty-seeking), are used in this study to broaden the theory of consumption value (TCV) into four additional factors that may positively impact the young consumer's attitude and increase switching intention towards biodegradable plastics. The data was collected utilizing an online survey approach and a standardized questionnaire. The data of 386 young Malaysian customers were analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3. The study's significant findings indicated that hedonic motivations, environmental motivations, and attitudes all impact switching intentions toward biodegradable plastics. This study also found that attitude is a mediator between hedonic and environmental motivations regarding switching intentions. These findings might aid the government in developing a new policy that encourages residents to adopt biodegradable plastics while also lowering pollution.

The cross-sectional quantitative survey collected 131 responses from public organisations in Malaysia selected through a stratified random sampling procedure. Data were analysed using the structural equation modelling (SEM) approach with SmartPLS 4 professional. Lean resources, lean culture, and lean knowledge management are critical success factors for implementing lean management in the Malaysian public sector. Subsequently, the holistic implementation of lean management will enhance their performance. This study provides a practical viewpoint for practitioners to understand and validate the potential benefits lean management can sustain if implemented with the critical success factors. As a result, practitioners and policymakers could use the insight from this study to tailor strategies for leveraging public secto...

This study intends to identify factors that affect a food handler's' SQ and also to discover SQ's potential role in mediating food-hygiene practices and foodservice performance. Using judgemental sampling, this study conducted a cross-sectional study to analyse usable data of 1026. The results show that demographic factors significantly affect SQ level. Food-hygiene practices and food service performance were fully mediated by SQ, thus supporting the food handlers' thoughts of self-development and success at work. It is proposed that the positive outcomes from the large and varied datasets of the model can be generalised to the routine practices and performance of other institutions.

And 2) How spirituality activities can over calm stress problem? The study tried to ascertain whether spiritual intelligence can give an impact to lecturers and release their stressful time, how is it functions and until what extend it may. Spiritual intelligence is important in shaping human behaviour. Three lecturers ranging 30-37 in ages and between 5-9 years in teaching experience, were interviewed using open-ended, face to face interviews. The data was analyzed using qualitative methodology and reported. The results showed that each lecturer experienced a deep meaningful feeling when practice their own way of spirituality that can overcome their stressful feeling at work.

It comes out based on the problem statement which project management sector is much rely on technological software instead of practicing organizational culture. The aim for this study is to identify the relationship between organizational culture and project performance and to determine the best practice of organizational culture dimension in a construction company in Pahang. The scope of this study is among employees and human resource manager at construction industry in Pahang especially in Kuantan. The total sample was 58 respondents from construction companies. The quantitative method was used. For the result of this study has been identified that there is significant relationship between organizational culture and project performance. The best practice of organizational culture is market culture and clan culture.

Many industries worldwide are installing their new production capability. Bio-plastics have attracted political leaders’ interest, especially in light of the evolving bio-economic orientation, through their use of renewable resources and their effects on sustainable growth. Related market determinants are defined, classified, and used as a base for their own estimates. The evolution of global production capacity is modeled annually for the timeframe up to 2030 by applying a system dynamics strategy. For a long-term forecast to catch the inherent volatility, various scenarios are identified and added to the model to represent different trends in the price of gross domestic product (GDP), oil, and bioplastic feedstock. Thus, our findings show the sensitivity in the macro-economic climate of the bioplastics sector. The s...
