A ... more The strategy of shearing mechanism has been applied to the 2212 bismuth cuprate Bi,SrzCaCuzOs. A new compound has been synthesized, Bi16Sr28Cu,7069+6; it crystallizes in a monoclinic cell with a = 48.40 (1) A, b = 5.495 (1) A, c = 16.283 (4) A, and p = 109.96 (2)o. This phase exhibits 2212 ribbons running along c that are 9 Bi atoms wide, and shifted by 5.3 A with respect to each other; these ribbons are interconnected through thin layers involving CuOs octahedra. In spite of its close relations with an ideal (101)~shear "2212" structure, this cuprate cannot be considered as such and is termed (lOl)-collapsed "2212" cuprate in agreement with previous works on (OlO)-collapsed "2201" cuprates. The rupture of the [CuOZ], layers and the possibility of using these phenomena for creating columnar defects in high-Z', superconducting cuprates are also discussed. o wz Academic PRSS, IX.

The crystal structure of the sample was analyzed by means X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The molar ratio Li/Ti has been varied for simulated the litigation processes in anode materials for lithium battery, and the interesting product with relation Li:Ti 5:5 has been obtained, with major crystalline structure. The atrane route is one of the most appropriate synthesis methods for obtain this anodic material.

A new pyrolytic / atrane method for the synthesis of LiCoO 2 and LiMn 2 O 4 is proposed, using at... more A new pyrolytic / atrane method for the synthesis of LiCoO 2 and LiMn 2 O 4 is proposed, using atrane as precursors. The thermal treatment favors the pyrolysis. The products obtained are compared against the commercial solid-solid method. They have a high crystallinity degree and particle micrometric order; in minor size that in solid state reaction.
