Dalam pertarungan itu muncul berbagai gerakan sosial dari masyarakat. Tidak hanya di tanah air, turbulensi sosial terus saja mengiringi segala upaya integrasi negara terhadap rejim pasar global di berbagai belahan dunia. Bahkan di sejumlah negara-negara Eropa yang makmur, gerakan sosial menentang kebijakan negara untuk melakukan penghematan dan privatisasi terus muncul. Ini menjadi isyarat, bahwa tidak mudah membangun harmoni antara negara dan pasar.

This paper aims to elaborate the new circumstances of South East Asia and its impact to form of c... more This paper aims to elaborate the new circumstances of South East Asia and its impact to form of cooperation and architecture of ASEAN. Despite the ASEAN countries still maintain the state-led regionalism principle, but various changes that took place in this region has risen a various issues that push the emergence of new actors such as seen in the emergence of transnational advocacy netwoks. The limitations of the state-centric regionalism leave the problem of representation. This means that the state perspective will be more determined by political and technocratic calculations. By proposing multitrack regionalism concept, this paper try to show that state-led regionalism is needed to transform into community-led regionalism in order to realize a more democratic regionalism.

After the New Order era, the mass political identity all channeled through very limited political institutions proved to re-discover the primordial basis. Along with the growth of neo-liberal regime, changing also the constructt of the state formation by the international structures. Construction of the state as an agent of the capitalist is changing. If liberalism tend to create state as repressive apparatus, the neoliberal regime tried to construct a democratic state. Moreover, the neoliberal regime also began creating directly political identity that they expect in domestic level. This paper aimed to elaborate the orientation of Indonesian foreign policy in the Jokowi era by f... more This paper aimed to elaborate the orientation of Indonesian foreign policy in the Jokowi era by focusing on two main determinants. The first is regional determinants that lead to the emergence of multi-track regionalism in line with the lauch of the ASEAN Community. Although the ASEAN countries still maintain the state-led regionalism principle, but various changes that took place in this region has risen various issues that push the emergence of new actors such as seen in the emergence of trans-national advocacy networks. The second determinant is on foreign policy orientation of Jokowi who wants to make connection the domestic modalities and the articulation of Indonesia in various international fora. By propose multitrack regionalism concept, this paper concludes that Indonesia could play a more significant role for new regional issues. Indonesia is also demanded to invite new social movement actors in reshaping foreign policy.

The relationship between state and markets in developed countries have a different mode than similar relationship in developing countries. In developed countries, the mode of the state and market relations is "state make market". By contrast, in developing countries, the mode is "market make-state" relation. As a result of two different modes that is, neo-liberalism gave birth to the patterns of disharmony in developing countries. It brings disharmony due to domestic political life and in the context of struggle of the state in international politicaleconomy.
