The morphological structure of cross-linked chitosan grafted with polyaniline was studied by scanning electron microscopy. Functional groups of the synthesized adsorbent were identified by Fourier- transform infrared. The performance of the prepared adsorbent was examined by batch adsorption experiments. The adsorption studies were performed with different operating parameters such as contact time, initial pH, adsorbent dosage and temperature. To evaluate adsorption isotherms, Freundlich, Langmuir and Dubinin-Radushkevich models were fitted to obtained data and the isotherm parameters were determined. Kinetics of the adsorption was studied by pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order models. It was observed that the obtained data were fitted more accurately with the pseudo-second-order model than the pseudo-first-order model. At optimum conditi...

The polyaniline nanoparticles were characterized in terms of their morphology, particle size, conductivity and chemical structure. The results indicate that the morphology, particle size and conductivity of nanoparticles are dependent the synthesis conditions. The chemical structure of the products was determined by FTIR spectroscopy.

The effect of type and concentration of surfactant on the morphology have been investigated. Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize the morphology of polyaniline. The results indicate that small and spherical nanoparticles can be obtained using PVA (6 g/L). Also better conductivity obtained when DBSNa (6 g/L) was used as surfactant. The chemical structure of products determined by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The results show that the type of surface active agent affects the intensity of peaks.

White polyaniline was observed after 3 h the color of the polyaniline is usually black or green. This change in polyaniline color has led to an interest in its use for display devices, packaging and other applications. Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize the morphology of polyaniline. The chemical structure of products was determined by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and UV-vis spectroscopy. The results show that the type of surface active agent affects the intensive of peaks. This process leading to white flake polyaniline plate with 0.015-140 m particle size and approximate yield of 40%.

The conductivity of the composites was measured as a function of the NiO concentration in reaction solution. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and electrical resistivity proved that NiO affect the properties of composite.
