On the basis of a Foucauldian understanding, according to which discourses have a subject-and society-constituting power, the paper first outlines the continuities and ruptures in the public perception of migration and integration. In a concluding discussion, the practices of the dominant society's »foreign« construction of migrant populations are contrasted with the functional logics of a normative interpretation of the concept of post-migrant society. The focus here is on the question of whether and to what extent it appears possible from a post-migrant discourse position to overcome previous patterns of interpretation of the »German« migration discourse or to establish an authentic counter-discourse.

For a better understanding of specific factors influencing the content and music, or path dependencies arising from them, a discourse-theoretical framework based on the work of Michel Foucault is used. The main focus of the study is on the genre of Turkish Anatolian Rock of the 1960s and 1970s, which appears as a musical reservoir of hybrid musical forms and political lyricism.

Turkish origin in Germany in the context of speculations
about deviating understandings of democracy among the
Turkish diasporas. Based on the thesis that a change in German integration discourse from measurable material achievements of the migrant community to immaterial aspects of
adaptation with regard to norms and values is taking place,
an argument for a discourse-theoretical perception of this debate is developed, whereby existing forms of the negatively
connoted foreign construction of the community of Turkish
origin are discussed.

Nevertheless, there are numerous associations representing migrants’ interests that encompass migrant organisations. This study is the first to provide an overview of migration-related associational organisations in NRW, upon which modelling of migration-related political representation is based and through which an assessment of opportunities for cooperation and prospects for funding can be made.
