The postmodernist novel of Svetislav Basara The Cyclist Conspiracy (Fama o biciklistima, 1987) po... more The postmodernist novel of Svetislav Basara The Cyclist Conspiracy (Fama o biciklistima, 1987) poses the question about the mystification of the author and his plural identities. The novel plays with the perceptions of the reader and question the existence of itself and its author. By following the laws of the text and its different authors the article tries to track all of them and define who is the real one. This problem is also visible in the second part of the novel – The Quest for the Holy Grail (Na Gralovom tragu, 1990).
