In this short paper I'm working on how non-native substantives form their respective plural and h... more In this short paper I'm working on how non-native substantives form their respective plural and how this may trouble speakers (non-native and native speakers alike). I focuse on five different words that have at least two possible plural forms in German and based on a survey and additional data from statistics I can show the different proportion and preference of use of these words different plural forms.

Ein oberschlesischer Industrieroman" (roughly translated as "Tormented people. An industrial novel based in Upper Silesia") is an expressionistic piece of work which combines social and economic criticism Franz Jung based upon the situation in Upper Silesia around 1926/27.
