Research paper thumbnail of Solutions of the Schrödinger equation with Hulthén-screened Kratzer potential: Application to Diatomic Molecules

2

In this study, the Schrödinger equation with the Hulthén plus screened Kratzer potentials (HSKP) ... more In this study, the Schrödinger equation with the Hulthén plus screened Kratzer potentials (HSKP) are solved via the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) and the series expansion methods. We obtained the energy equation and the wave function in closed form with Greene-Aldrich approximation via the NU method. The series expansion method was also used to obtain the energy equation of HSKP. Three distinct cases were obtained from the combined potentials. The energy eigenvalues of HSKP for HCl, LiH, H2, and NO diatomic molecules were computed for various quantum states. To test the accuracy of our results, we computed the bound states energy of HCl and LiH, for a special case of Kratzer and screened Kratzer potentials, which are in excellent agreement with the report of other researchers.

The solutions of the Schrödinger equation are obtained using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy spectrum and normalized wave function were obtained. The masses of the heavy mesons for different quantum states such as 1S, 2S , 1P, 2P 3S, 4S, 1D, and 2D were predicted as 3.096 GeV, 3.686 GeV, 3.327 GeV, 3.774GeV, 4.040 GeV, 4.364GeV, 3.761 GeV, and 4.058 GeV respectively for charmonium (cc). Also, for bottomonium (bb) we obtained 9.460 GeV, 10.023 GeV, 9.841 GeV, 10.160 GeV, 10.345 GeV, 10.522 GeV, and 10.142GeV for different states of 1S , 2S , 1P , 2P , 3S , 4S , 1D respectively. The partition function was calculated from the energy spectrum, thereafter other thermal properties were obtained. The results obtained showed an improvement when compared with the work of other researchers and excellently agreed with experimental data with a percentage error ...

The idea is spreading very wide not only within households but industries because of its numerous benefits such as its ecofriendly nature, cost effectiveness, and accessibility. This paper focuses on reviewing the hybridization of wind and solar energy sources in Nigeria. Wind speeds are considerably low during dry season in Nigeria when the intensity of the sun is very high and shines for a long period of time. The wind is stronger during the rainy season when less sunlight is available. Since the maximum operating time for solar and wind systems occur at different times of the day and year, power generation using wind solar hybrid system is likely to be readily available when needed. Wind and solar hybrid system conversion could be large scale connected to the national grid or small scale for stand-alone systems. Different work carried out by researchers' shows that if Nigeria can properly harness 40 percent of her renewable energy resources such as wind and solar, the problem of power failure will be a thing of the past in both remote locations and urban areas of Nigeria. It is recommended that government should as a matter of urgency prioritize the generation of electricity through the integration of the various renewable energy resources.

Signal strength obtained from the application was compared with the Gionee android inbuilt signal meter for authentication purposes. The signal strength measurements were conducted in Amaigbo from 18, all in SouthEastern region of Nigeria. The data obtained was analyzed to determine the GSM networks coverage levels, the availability of the networks, and the quality of the network provided in the aforementioned rural communities. The result of the study shows that most rural communities in the SouthEast region of Nigeria, like Amaigbo and Amasa, experiences a lot of periods of out of service as a result of poor network coverage level. It was also observed that in some rural communities in the east with high population density such as Uli, the network coverage level is relatively high. Thus, quality network services were recorded in Uli. It is therefore recommended that more booster stations be sited to enhance good network coverage level in rural communities within the SouthEastern region of Nigeria.

These models are functional planning tools that allow the network planner of wireless communication networks to realize optimal levels for the base station exploitation and meeting the anticipated service level requirements. In this work, five experimental broadcast models-FSPL, EGLI, ECC, COST 231 and ERICSSON Model are considered for pathloss performance investigation in the urban area of Yenagoa. A drive test was conducted to acquire the actual field data on the LTE with a frequency of 700MHz network deployed in the area under study. All forecast calculations were carried out in the TEMS Investigation and Discovery network planning tool. Ericsson model was found to best predict the environment with a minimum deviation of 10.11dB being closest to measured pathloss with 2.01dB compared to the other models

broadcasting cooperation (Orient 94.4 FM) within some selected routes in Imo State, Nigeria. The research was carried out between the
months of April and June 2016. The equipment used to measure signal strength in the study areas is a constructed Signal Strength
Meter (SSM). Holo Ambient Temperature Pro {Thomas Otero (H3R3T1C) was used to measure the atmospheric temperature along the
routes of signal measurement. Measurements were taken in different months, on different days, and at a different time of the day and
different temperature. The average results of these measurements were then taken and the data obtained from the measurements were
tabulated and subsequently plotted in a graph to ascertain the variation in signal strength along the different routes. It was observed
from this research that the rise in atmospheric temperature will lead to a drop in strength of the signal generated by Orient 94.4 FM
transmitter. Thus, it can be postulated that temperature varies inversely to the signal strength provided the transmission parameters
remain constant.

This was carried out with the aid of a constructed signal strength meter (SSM). Signal strength measurements were collected at different time, on different days, and in different months. The measurement was carried out at a constant distance of 20 Km. Arrangement was made with the management of the base station to ensure that the transmitting parameters were kept constant throughout the period of signal strength measurement. The average results of these measurements were taken. The data obtained from the measurements was plotted in a graph to establish the diurnal variation in signal strength along the different routes of signal strength measurement. It was observed from this research that transmission and reception of signals are dependent on the time of the day. High signal strength was noted between the hours of 8 am and 11 am, while low signal strength was recorded between the hours of 1 pm and 5 pm. Better signal strengths were recorded at night. The result of this study shows that signal strength generated by FM transmitter vary with time of the day and the prevalent weather conditions. Stronger signals are recorded mostly at night along the different routes of the study. The signal strength consequently drops in the afternoon and recovers in the morning hours.
