Morphology and Sintax are very important studies in learning English. Morphology is the study of how words are structured and how they are put together from smaller part, as morphemes are the smallest significant units of grammar. Meanwhile syntax discusses how sentences are structured. The purposes of this research are to cover the students morphosintactic errors operating on the students of the management informatics students’ narrative writing and how these errors affect the whole clause structure, the inflectional morphemes, derivational morphemes and the pattern of clause structure in the students narrative writing. The method used in this reserch is qualitative describtion where the data sources are taken from the fresh year students narrative writing. This community service aims to improve English language skills for teachers and elementary school... more This community service aims to improve English language skills for teachers and elementary school staff at SDN 104211. The method applied is the provision of materials and practice. This service uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Which aims to describe learning the introduction of English. Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, documentation with data collection tools, namely interview guides, observation guidelines, field notes, and documents. The research subjects were teachers and elementary school staff at SDN 104211. The results showed: (1) in planning language recognition learning there were themes, indicators, main activities, media adapted to students' needs (2) in implementation, teachers carried out language recognition learning English is in accordance with the lesson plans, (3) the supporting factors for learning English introduction are the availability of learning media for the introduction of English provided by institutions ...

Bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang wajib dikuasai oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar. ... more Bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang wajib dikuasai oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar. Namun siswa mengalami kesulitan berkomunikasi karena kurangnya penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris. Hal ini didukung pula dengan pembelajaran di sekolah yang lebih banyak menggunakan buku teks daripada menggunakan metode pembelajaran lain yang lebih menarik sehingga kegiatan pengabdian siswa/siswi ini perlu dilakukan di SDN 104211, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian siswa/siswi ini adalah untuk melatih siswa sekolah dasar berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kosakata dengan penggunaan media flash card. In this research, the analysis is based on the theory of Functional Grammar: the transitivity, proposed by Halliday (2004) in his book; An Introduction to Functional Grammar. This research uses descriptive method. The objectives of this research are to find the types of process used by Basuki in his statements and to reveal the dominant process. The data are taken from Basuki's statements on Liputan6.com. The result of this research shows that Material Process is dominantly used with 52,94%, followed by Relational and Existential processes with 17,65% and Mental process with 11,76%. The Material process as the dominant shows Basuki as the doer in resolving all the problems found in Jakarta..

The objectives of this study are to (1) investigate types of errors in students' writing made by ... more The objectives of this study are to (1) investigate types of errors in students' writing made by students of AMIK Medicom, (2) to find out the causes of errors on the students writing made by the students of Medicom. Based on the analysis by Dulay's theory of type of errors it was found that there are four kinds of errors. They are: 1) Error of Omission, 2) Error of Addition, 3) Error of Misformation, and 4) Error of Misorder. The dominant types of errors found in the students writing is Error of Misformation. The source of error is analysed based on Brown's theory. there are four source of error, they are: 1) Interlingual Transfer, 2) Intralingual Transfer, 3) Context of Learning, and 4) Communication Strategy and based on the analysis, the source of errors found are Interlingual Transfer and Intralingual Transfer. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study are the first year students of AMIK MEDICOM Medan. In conclusion, students of AMIK MEDICOM make some grammatical error errors in their writing and the potential cause of the grammatical error in writing text made by the students is intralingual Transfer and interlingual transfer. In this case the conclutions and suggestions are directed to those who would teach and learn english writing.
