The dynamic variables are due to chemical reactions, temperature disturbance of colloidal size or anything else. It is assumed that the irreversible processes in the medium can be described with the aid of non-equilibrium thermodynamics. We use standard procedure of non-equilibrium thermodynamics assuming also the transport of the dynamic variables.

Given a pseudo-Riemannian manifold (M, g) and a smooth function f : M → R, whose Hessian with respect to g is non-degenerate, one can define on M the associated pseudo-Riemannian Hessian metric h = Hess g f . In the following, we apply this methodology for describing the geometrical properties of some interesting mathematical objects like the higher dimensional Reissner-Nördstrom black holes. The paper is organized as follows. Section 1 reviews the history of pseudo-Riemannian Geometry and points out which Hessian is more convenient for physical problems. Section 2 gives the Christoffel symbols and the system of geodesics of pseudo-Riemannian manifold (M, h = Hess g f ), establishes the relation between the components of the curvature tensors field of (M, h) and (M, g), and determines the PDEs representing the coincidence between the Christoffel symbols of (M, h) and the Christoffel symbols of (M, g). The last section presents the comparison of null-length curves trajectories obtained with the two metrics for a 5-dimensional RN black hole.

By applying an asymptotic perturbative method the transport equation for the first perturbation term is obtained. Finally, it is shown that this equation can be reduced to an equation similar to Burger's equation.

In particular we investigate the contributions of the memory effects on the transport equation which governs the first perturbation term of the asymptotic solution of the basic equation. Finally, it is shown that the transport equation can be reduced to a generalized Burgers equation.

In this paper we obtain a correlation between the coefficients aforementioned and some quantities experimentally measurable in the context linear response theory by considering a general rheological differential equation governing both mechanical and dielectric phenomena

For a sphere moving in a fluid, the results are compared to the formulae obtained from hydrodynamics.

In particular, after the specification of the low and high frequencies region, under physical considerations characterized by limiting the values of some functions connected to mechanical phenomena, the trend of the aforementioned coefficients is investigated as function of the frequency.
