It distinguishes from most current adopted definitions and researches which deal with the two aspects independently. An integrated evolutional cognition model of integer numbers is depicted in the manner of a number version "cosmos explosion" (NCE). By providing a tunnel to repeat a formation/creation process of numbers, NCE allows not only a new systematic view on semantics/definitions of {numbers, number types, relationships among them}, but also opportunities to retrospect on some of the fundamental/historical issues related to the understanding of numbers. To illustrate the number classification and locating functionalities of NCE, some examples are shown related to locating prime numbers, and deduction on amount and composition relationships among number types, etc. NCE is promising to be extended to number theory, semantics, computation, modeling, etc.

However comparing, selecting, and composing of them usually go implicitly lacking systemic guidelines. In this paper a conceptual approach for MDSD process frameworks modeling is proposed. Taking three inter-discipline concepts, abstraction, generality, and behaviorism that are fundamental to mathematics, philosophy as well as computer science as comparison dimensions, development techniques are compared in both static and dynamic facets of MDSD processes. An experimental method for composing them into development process frameworks is also given. This work potentially will be beneficial to meet nonfunctional software performance requirements on MDSD processes such as improving efficiency, traceability, and ensuring consistency etc.

Firstly by applying a previous semantic formalization investigation, we propose a classification of related knowledge as definition, partial knowledge and ambiguous knowledge to facilitate the understanding and design. Secondly an empirical implementation is conducted on a simplified building prototype complying with the IFC standard. The generation of empirical knowledge rules is revealed and semantic scopes are addressed both in the bottom up manner along the line of geometry topology semantic, and a vice versa top down manner. Concrete implementation is on the platform of protégé with Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL).

This may hinder the advancement of the automation level of MDSD with problems such as defining the boundaries of automation tasks, and measuring the workload for model transformations (MT), etc. In common senses, the two parts are not distinguishable because they belong to irrespective subjective and objective conceptual areas respectively. By discussing this issue specifically for MDSD, a conceptual exclusion approach for differentiation based on an extended Entity Relationship (ER) model is proposed. A conceptual framework called MIB/CSD (manual work, inheritance, behaviorism / cardinality, static, dynamic) to implement the differentiation approach is designed. Feasibility of the differentiation work with regard to UML is discussed in both the theoretical aspect with the extended ER model and the practical aspect with some existing evidences.

Semantics of concepts of unlimited and completeness are identified as fundamental classification characteristics for clarifying/formalizing semantics of expressions towards bridging semantics between problems and answers. An approach of semantic computation from problem solving perspectives is proposed with demonstrative cases on previously confusing or misleading issues.

We summarized our past experience of solutions for semantic knowledge management projects. An adopted hypothesis is that among the tremendous and rapid increasing information, there is a relative stable core which can map/relate to every specific piece of information uniformly starting from the discussion on existence and conceptualization. The mapping will result in an expansion formalization based on open world assumption (OWA) and closed world assumption (CWA). This formalization can be widely applied for guiding semantic formalization and validation. We show initial applications on transformations from SUBJ to OBJ, etc.

T... more Ontologies are increasingly adopted to facilitate the model driven software development (MDSD). The issue of intertransformations among various ontologies is quickly growing prominent. Some explain that variation of ontology definition should be accepted as a must. We would agree with the point that the definition of ontology for the MDSD should be further standardized with tools. In this paper, the ontology definition for the MDSD is systematically analyzed from the philosophical and human cognitional views. Based on a few metaconcepts, ontology creation and evaluation modes are proposed. By providing general precise and consistent semantics for development elements, this framework will considerably improve the development of models of automation oriented development MDSD processes. Experimental applications on intertransformations and unifications of semantics of existing modeling languages are very encouraging.

In this paper, we propose to reconstruct semantics for the purpose of reconstruct 3D architecture in Archi3D fundamentally. The formalization approach starts from several hypotheses on semantics which include: there is a core mechanism of semantics which is not limited to conceptual expression level; and a complete expression of semantics necessaries the -implicitexplicit‖ transition of human side knowledge, etc. The necessity and feasibility concerning applying the proposed method and technology to the practice of Archi3D is discussed systemically by way of semantics revelations on some cases related to natural language and logic expressions, etc.
