Especially, the effectiveness of using the computer and the internet in vocabulary teaching is being studied. Furthermore, it can be read about the learners' needs and characteristics regarding vocabulary teaching. Also, different language teaching methods, some techniques of motivation and the historical development of methodologies are introduced. In the second part of this work, the importance of computer assisted language learning (CALL) is represented and there is a review on the related literature. The potential advantages and disadvantages of the use of computerized and online materials during second language education from both the teachers and learners' points of view are also revealed. Finally, research on the effectiveness of computer and internet usage in vocabulary teaching among students can be read. There is a comparison which releases whether the traditional vocabulary teaching techniques or the computerized ones are more effective.
