a partire dai suoi disegni originali, disegnati a matita,
ortogonale.

DI ARCHITETTURE NON REALIZZATE A PARTIRE DA DISEGNI DI
ARCHIVIO.
OGGETTO DI STUDIO È IL PROGETTO DELL'EDEN TEATRO BIONDO A PALERMO (1912), DI ERNESTO BASILE, NON REALIZZATO, CHE AFFRONTA IL TEMA TIPOLOGICO
DEL C!NE-TEATRO.
QUESTO LAVORO, ELABORATO TRAMITE VETTORIALIZZAZIONE, MODELLAZIONE 3D,
RENDERING E POST PRODUZIONE, SI PONE COME OBIETTIVO L'ANALISI
DEL PROGETTO E LA RICOSTRUZIONE DI SPAZI E VOLUMI A PARTIRE DAI DISEGNI
ORIGINARI, CON PARTICOLARE ATTENZIONE A I PROCESSI INTERPRETATIVI.

In this way the viewers can observe the fragment nearing the re-reconstructed fragment in its original morphology and an interactive digital model in which can also observe the metric aspect and, where present, the decorative apparatus.

The system will allow various applications: the creation of systems for displaying artifacts from the museum alongside the exhibition, the virtual view of restorations from fragments, including AR and VR, the physical reconstruction of the original form using 3D printer to show the pieces in their entirety, as well as the construction of interactive virtual archives to be made available to scholars and visitors.

Topographic, laser scanning and photogrammetric data have been used to build up 3D textured models of three ancient houses built in Sicily and in Tunisia in the Hellenistic and Roman age. 3D models have been used to extract conventional representations (plans and sections), analyze the geometric and proportional features and propose a virtual reconstruction of the original layout. The final step of the research work has been addressed to the creation of a web-based tools for the visualization of the models addressed to the maintenance of the ruins and of a friendly tool, addressed to non-specialist users, for the visualization of the virtual reconstructions; both tools have been developed with the real time rendering engine ‘Unity’.

of artistic and archaeological heritage, as well as their museum fruition. An application is given by the construction
of models for tactile perception for blind-users: it has been developed a model, in real scale, of a kantharos of the sixth
century BC modeled with mixed techniques of rapid prototyping CNC with polymeric resin.
Another possible application is the integration of RE and RP techniques with Augmented Reality (AR). It has been made an
experiment on the model of the Temple of Castor and Pollux in Agrigento.
The physical model, made with additive process using 3D printing with chalky powder with controlled particle size, has
been used as a basis to overlay the display of the polygon model, on a monitor or through glasses for AR. The digital model
is perfectly superimposed to the physical model, and is viewable in various ways, from the colored one for the simulation of
materials at the semi-transparent one to highlight the relationships with the underlying model, making immediate perception
of the relations between the ruins and the original work.
The full paper will outline the experiences that have been made in the laboratories of RP and RE of the Art School “V. Ragusa
and OR. Kiyohara “of Palermo in collaboration with the Department of Architecture of the University of Palermo.

The 3D model was made on the basis of very accuratetechnical drawings, which allowed the reconstruction of the building according to the modular scheme.
Representation techniques are used considering the spatial characteristics of the work and the criteria used in the designs of Mies himself.
