In particular, the objective of the study is the rediscovery of asylum complexes. These, before being conceived as places of therapy, were conceived as places of confinement and control of a social 'problem', for a long time managed within the walls in which the mentally ill were isolated. Through the application to a specific case in which Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence act in synergy, the contribution presents a research path aimed at restoring value to the identities of individual patients, hidden and denied first by necessity and then by the will of obliteration.

The case study is marked by an inconsistent settlement pattern. Nevertheless, it retains wide glimpses of unspoilt territory, still tied to its original values. The same landscape transformations offer a series of opportunities for recomposition. These require representative instruments capable of interpreting and guiding the valorisation of the rich heritage, all this also considering the strong tourism value of the area under study. From a methodological point of view, the contribution is structured in three main phases: a first phase of studying the tourism dynamics in the area; a second phase of mapping the identity and evolutionary characteristics of the area; a third phase of conception and development of three project proposals aimed at enhancing the identity characteristics of the place and at favouring its usability with a view to sustainable tourism. The contribution presents the intangible archaeological survey of an architecture as majestic as ... more The contribution presents the intangible archaeological survey of an architecture as majestic as it is legendary: the tomb of the Etruscan lucumone (king) Lars Porsenna. Among the historical studies devoted to this monument, the contribution focuses on the interpretative description provided by the learned Perugian Baldassarre Orsini (1732-1810), which differs from the precedents for the concrete character and the attention he gives to the proportional and constructive aspects, as well as being accompanied by six explanatory tables. Digital restitution, as well as being a disciplinary opportunity able to suggest an unprecedented understanding of the archaeological survey, has led to the creation of an immersive video animation and a plastic model obtained through 3D additive printing, which marked the multimedia section of a dedicated exhibition initiative.
